Sony LT30p Mint previewed ahead of announcement - read the full textThe upcoming Sony LT30p Mint from Sony did a few rounds a couple of weeks ago, when some camera samples leaked alongside a specs sheet that had flagship written all over it. Today, it seems that Mobile-Review has not only gotten their hands on the Mint, but managed to snap so many pictures of...

Mint screen size were 4.6inch not 4.3 as mention. This are prototype unit not a final release. The best part how hard to accept duo core s4 better then quad core? I think the story about how good s4 speard all cross web over the world. If you guys happy with your s3 and htc one x why you even bother to read this news. Its obviously reflect that s3 n one x user really having low class minded . And cant accept that they devices still have flaws... and still asking sony to fullfill their demand. Ps: taking out your s3 n htc one x quad core and replace with duo core chip. See what better spec it has?? Nothing.. just decend 2011 spec.

Some fans could only count up to 4, the number of processing cores. If only they could read up the difference between Cortex-A9 & Cortex-A15 core.

Sony is serious about its role in mobile . After parting from ericsn sony is now in the line to be a strong contendor. it may not be able to compete with samaung or htc as it is very early to comment on that but u can not rule out its presence.
Take example of samsung, 2-3 years back nokia was talk of the town. Samsung was well set in tv, stereo, other household stuff. But advent of galaxy (S) series changed the fortune of samsung in mobile industry.
Here history is repeating itself and it wont take long when samsung , sony will be competing head to head even htc :) .. And nokia will be a sitting duck ( i hope so not )..
Thanx!!

A couple months ago I made the same comment about Sony's phones and I was bombarded by so many trolls like I made their bridge collapse! It seems like Sony have lost their way. None of their recent phones scream "buy me!" The only people who seem to be excited about their line up are the kind of people who would buy the cheapest Sony just to say they have a Sony phone. I don't believe this was the customer bracket that put Sony in the upper end of consumer electronics... They need to FIX UP SHARPISH!

No matter beats or not, its overhyped and ever since the walkman series i still havent heard anything better than sony's bass boost, yeah im a bass guy.

At very least beats is better than iphone, sounds like some cheap mp3 selling for 10bucks.

Sony is not really into mobile competition like samsung, lg and HTC. 1 of the reason being that sony already has a world class portable gaming system(psvita) in the market already. So, all am saying is, if your expecting or hoping for a top notch mobile phone just forget it, its not happening anytime soon. Personally, I have a ps3 with a gaming laptop so phone gaming doesn't exist. Long live play, long live sony.

> In reply to [deleted post]have u even seen galaxy S3,, u might have never heard of its specs i guess... well lemme tell u all in detail-
1. camera- S2's camera was a bit poor n so of note but i bet u bring on ur xperia S's 12mpx camera in front of S3's 8 mpx camera n u'll know what improvements samsung made over... m not saying its better but its near on the mark wid xperia's cam though hav only 8mpx compared to 12 mpx...
2. sound- ever u heard of beats audio in htc senstuon xl or xe?? well the new one is wolfsonic beats integrated in S3 which will blow ur eardrums wen beats r in full waves n also better than xperias.
3. GPU- r u insane?? mali 400 is best ever gpu till arrival of adreno 325 which still is not out yet in market n graphics r way awsum... it supports all hd games but xperia have playstation enabled features while samsung dont that might made u think that sammy z lagging in gpu but reality is xperias have more games than galaxy but that doesnt mean galaxy does not support them...
4. screen- i think u dont like amoled screen or u havent seen them, always u ve used lcd powered by backlighting thru led or sum others just have a look at S2's RGB superamoled plus screen its way superior than any other displays though S3 has an inferior pentile superamoled screen but that still blows up every lcd panels... some ppl hate amoled or clear black displays i guesa u r on of them but dont worry very few r its haters...
i think enuf to answer ur questions or solved ur querries... sony can never reach to the level wer samsung r today... well u support ur loser device n i ll support my device which is a clear winner...

regards....

I was a little worried about the design until I saw that it is only a pre-production unit, can't wait to see what Sony has up their sleeve for the real Mint.

> In reply to HowGenerous @ 2012-07-26 13:46 from mjIS - click to readAt a multi-core level, gpu is much more important in games. Bottleneck would come from the gpu rather than the cpu. So dual core cpu could actually be better than some quad core cpu like tegra 3 because it is limited by the gpu even if it has powerful cpu.

i wish there's something special with this MINT, but a bit dissapointed, its almost like the HAYABUSA. No need a quadcore, S4 krait is good( great maybe), where's the 16 mp camera gone? MINT in my thoughts is like this
4,5 inch display
16 mpx camera with xenon
1080p @60fps
2200 mah bttry
2 mp front cam
Android 4.0
Alumunium unibody
But... It doesn't appear like that, but still a great one, love ya sony n there's still one that not yet came out from the cave, the Xperia Olive, when n where?
