ITS AN ENTRY LEVEL WITH 4INCHES WVGA DISPLAY S1(ARMV7) PROCESSOR AND 5MPx CAM!!

geez too much complains!!

can u give me an entry level from other good manufacturers higher than xperia j's specs? it may not have msm85255 but it has 4" display mygawd + 5mp cam and its an entry level so expect it to be priced similar to Samsung Galaxy mini 2 if not cheaper (3.2" hvga display, 3.15mp cam no flash, 800mhz armv6, adreno 200)

and compare this to a higher priced LG Optimus L5.. yes it has 4" display with a garbage resolution.

sony is all struck in 2008 hardware,
may be when the world moves on to 2020 , they will equip their phones with 2012 hardware,

anyways i will never buy a phone from sony when there are a ton of better phones than sony even in the entry level ones, sony are sooo outdated,

Even the Sony Xperia Tipo with 3.2" display and 3.2 MP camera which is touted to be an entry level device has got ARMv7 core whereas this Sony Xperia J is equipped with ARMv6 core. Being an entry level doesn't necessarily mean an outdated SoC should be put up in it. Would have been better had the SoC been S2 instead of S1.

If I am not wrong, This phone uses the MSM7627A processor. Even the old MSM7227A has been updated by Qualcomm. Both these chipsets now have ARMv7 Cortex A5 processors.
Better than ARM11 processors and has the capability to run ICS.

I wonder why most phone manufacturers use Qualcomm MSM7227A instead of MSM8255? It is an older generation CPU right?

Sony gonna fail if they keep releasing low end phone with crappy hardware....Look at xperia MINIS or even ray/neo/v, theyre very cheap right now and way better than this in terms of hardware....I hope the rumored specs is not true.

meh. Dated hardware, they could have gone for a newer SoC instead of this lowly one. Not worth it.

Let me salute Sony on releasing a phone with ICS right on it. It would be so "Sonysh" of Sony to offer us yet another 2.3
