SONY could put more effort on reliability of their devices (like the known random freezes and restart problems) rather than on the make up features.

AFAIK only Samsung has, at much effort, developed and integrated extensions to the Android OS so that their phones support 3GPP video calling.
Given Samsung track record of not providing updates to the majority of their phones, if and when you get a 3r-party ROM made from the source tree of Android, who will loose the 3GPP video calling.

I thought they will do away with the old Xperia S button layout and adapt the Xperia P's. Color me disappointed but I like to have one.

A mere 0.2 GHz bump in clock frequency while having all other hardware the same is not going to pull a rabbit out of the hat.
