Im telling u its the battle of the OS and size in the mobile market with Linux and The Ubuntu flavour developers also recently developing Ubuntu Mobile for mobile devices. those of u who know Ubuntu an open source OS, which is one of the most successful Open source OS in the PC platform. it is now coming to mobile devices. browse it and see, it should be nice judging by what android has done so far... and also considering the fact that they are derived or based from/on Unix or Linux.

From the Mozilla blog:
- First devices featuring Firefox OS to be manufactured by TCL Communication Technology (Alcatel) and ZTE
- Leading global network operators back initiative, including Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, Smart, Sprint, Telecom Italia, Telefonica and Telenor

My own comment: This means something big if there is a lot of support from manufacturers and operators. So no, the OS is not crap and is definitely supported by Google as well. Quit whining what's similar to what OS. It's the market share by big players which will decide the fate of an OS.

Android was ok in 2.1 and 2.2 was very good on Gingerbread and is a piece of crap on ICS. As far as Jelly bean goes... no one knows for sure because lets face it, no one has it already.
I would bet this OS will be good as Mozilla never let us down with old faithful Firefox browser but I don't like the design of the icons.
