"Apple has yet to unveil their products, and interest is very high. iPhone 5 will probably be a success no matter what, given that the change will be bigger than the change from 4 to 4S.

Windows is showing some interesting steps, and the tablet launch is sure to generate some excitement.

Android in general seems a little tired, so far have not been excited by any of the announcements. They better innovate and consolidate or risk losing some market share, tho as market leader they are still in a solid position.

Overall, over the next quarter, I rate Apple as stable, with a bit of excitement, Windows as very exciting, but a bit bored of Android, unless they announce something new."

is that the same hyped before the announcement of Iphone 4 successor (4S)? I am eagerly waiting for the reaction of apple fanboy when the Apple 5 is released.

Even the Android fanboys arent as zealous as before. In fact they sound kinda jaded and tired these days, like the belief isnt really there anymore.

"This person has a brain"

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-08-06 09:30 from KcVB - click to readRegardless if you are an apple, android, ms fanboi. But for goodness sake. The one should be in trial are the people approving patents. I mean what in the world... they approved a patent on the use of rectangles on a phone? So very basic to give a sole right over how the shape is used in a phone.

If this kind of thinking moves on, this would kill competition unfairly. As you know, it is more proper to patent an invention or a technology than an innovation. The patent guidelines are not what I call flawless, these smart pants from Apple took that advantage of getting what you call sole right for an innovation and made it legal.

It's like a designer created a black polo shirt with a round button and square imprint where another designer created a black polo chirt with a rectangular button. You can't sue over such thing because it is a general aesthetic design.

It would be understandable to pay a sort of royalty for the use of 3G, Bluetooth, GSM, CDMA, wifi technology because they are technological inventions. Me pay over the use of rectangles to shape my phone? Are you nuts? - Nuts? No, they are Apples. lol.

Swipe guestures? Come on, we have that since the start of the PC GUI. We only call them drag since we have a a hand for an Icon to do such guesture. So if there is someone to patent swipe, then double tap, slide up and down can be patented as well? Come one! So ridiculous! What next? Patent a "pick your nose to unlock?"
