Waiting, 07 Aug 2012Yes I'm also looking forward to the release of Windows 8/Phone 8 and will wait until after Oct... moreI don't get you, the Desire HD was a supported phone, it had it's time, and now it's old. This is normal in gadgets world. And my friend, HTC, just like Nokia or Apple or Samsung, they don't care about YOU. You are a consumer. They try to train you like a loyal doggy, but they cant (or at least, they should not be able). You have a DHD from 2010, great! You don't like it, you buy a different one. You like it, you keep it. It's just that simple. You won't be able to get a phone to last for 10 years, and be up-to-date! Just give me an example of this kind of support from Nokia! There is no example!
Yes, I want a Nokia WP8 with physical QWERTY, to replace my wonderful E7
AnonD-58527, 07 Aug 2012No, The opposite, we are more than happy to help Nokia out by buying a Windows Phone 8. Neve... moreSure, i would definitely throw away my under an year old lumia phone to buy a new one? Who the frack are "you" that would be happy to donate to Nokia? And how a "loyal fan" would never want to upgrade the current phone? I don't understand how you're thinking, but you, sir, are wrong. Please don't use the word "loyalty" any more, it's meant for people, not corporations.
Really want a wondows 8 phone but can't do without flash for viewing TV via the browser on my Android phone.
AnonD-45490, 07 Aug 2012Nokia WP8 is simply amazing! apart from the highly anticipated new s/w & h/w features... (... moreStop trolling you nokia marketing people.
1)"Nokia WP8 is simply amazing!"
- That sounds like a definitive statement but nobody has ever seen or touched a WP8 device.
2)"apart from the highly anticipated new s/w & h/w features..."
- What about them ? 2010 specs ? Closed OS on which you can only change a few color setting and ringtones ? Beying forced to live with simple tiles for the rest of your phone's life ?
3)"(after some research), the design itself will surely be the best among all smartphone, based on the success of the current Lumia designs."
- Again marketing by some Nokia employee. Again you said it as if it's a given. How can you of anyone else state that "surely" it will be the best (haha) amongst smartphones ? It's NOT EVEN OUT YET so you cant "SURELY" know anything.
ALSO based on the success of the lumia line ? Hahahahaha....YES success compared to dumbphones.
You lame marketing trolls.
4)"Cant wait to get one! the flagship model for WP8 =)"
- Again marketing people talk right here. Persuading the people to thing that one is very interested and committed into buying a phone, and not just any phone, the flagship.
Seriously GSMARENA ...can't you do something about these advertising trolls ? Isn't advertising supposed to be payed ? Or maybe it is and we just don't know it.
Is this some form of advertising designed for the comment section ?

[deleted post]i dont think nokia has any aim to become no.1 and the gaint they used to be their aim now is to be a diffrentiator,to get innovation as quickly into the market.but still its not that difficult to be no.1 nokia sells 80+million devices last quarter.out of which on 10million account for smartphone of which 4million wp.if with windowsphone 8 they can achieve 20million wp sales.they will easily become no.1.

Nokia's clear black display above 310ppi, 4" screen and Window 8 OS.
Samsung, HTC Apple will not match the display and for OS we have to wait no comments about it. But hopefully Nokia Will get the market share atleast up to 20% with in 1.5 years of new sales.

Yes I'm also looking forward to the release of Windows 8/Phone 8 and will wait until after October before buying a new Smartphone, Tablet & Computer. By then hopefully there will be a true level playing field for comparison. Like others my experience to date with Android & some Apple products has not been a happy one, particularly Android with it's fractured manufacturing process, OS updates and lack of forward thinking building consumer loyalty. It's the reason why I will never ever buy HTC products again for fear they will again turn their backs on customers as they did with the Desire HD. Nokia I suspect will again lead the charge and bring back consumer confidence & certainty to the industry. Windows 8/Phone 8 may very well prove to be the catalyst.
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2012Nobody beats Nokia in mobile phone when it comes to call quality, signal reception, camera, au... moresorry dude that's nokia in S60v2 & S80 era :p i still have 6630 made by nokia & 9300i made by finland :) now nokia only win in camera division. look samsung they can make phone with low sar level , good signal reception , call quality , screen outdoor visibility , better touchscreen , better screen , better audio recording & off course great build quality :)
