Samsung says it didn't even think about licensing BlackBerry OS 10 - read the full textA rumor surfaced recently, saying that Samsung will be licensing RIM's BlackBerry OS 10 (and even buying RIM). It's not a new rumor, there was one just like it last year. Even so, the rumor proved to be believable enough for RIM's shares to rise (a welcome change in direction, as they have slid...

Kenny, you're joking. In Singapore, Samsung after sales was like worse than apple. Samsung only re-installs the OS. It's as good as not sending it in.

Do what Ubuntu is doing, make it compatible with other phones, it's your only way to save yourself!

Samsung users do not have to worry if they sent in a newly bought handset will end up with a "Second hand or multiple handed.multiple moths old Refurbished unit".

Here in my country 5 among 100 likes iOS and rest all are the fan of Android. In Android more than 80% use Samsung. Not only mobile phones but lots of products like TV, freeze, washing machine, LCD/LED monitor etc are also used made by Samsung.

to my surprise, bada is not dead yet - just got a firmware update for S8500 (XXLG1) in Estonia! i thought Samsung had killed it's development a while back and concentrated only on Tizen. turns out, not so.
and the update itself gave a pretty reasonable user experience boost!

They just don't need BB 10. And MeeGo, Firefox OS and other projects. Hi-end - Android, Windows Phone - just to try, Budget - Bada+Android and Tizen in the nearest future. And realy, BB10 is not a revolution in mobile OS. At all.

To tell the truth, I don't think samsung should takeover anything! Despite having one of the best hardware and designs in market, samsung's after sales has been disastrous for last 7 years, when I saw my first samsung handset!

RIM stuffed up their supply chain after the 9780 with some how releasing in to the market obviously cheaper constructed mobiles. RIM software on quality hardware has merit. Samsung is not stupid. They know Android has limitations when compared to Win 8 which they are testing etc. Android will loose market share towards the end of this year. I for one would buy a Samsung if it was running Blackberry OS 10. As it stands now, I would not buy a SIII or even a new iPhone 5, pending the release of win 8, or better still hopefully a decent OS10 from Blackberry.

Waiting for a Samsung device with Quad Boot i.e. Android, Windows, Bada and BB10. Let the user choose the OS he wants to use.
