Any manufacturer that decides to focus on quality rather than unleashing dozens of poor quality devices onto the market is very welcome in today's market. The market doesn't want cheap and nasty mobiles.

I am sure it might work. I personally think it was the end of Moto last year and then they cameup with the giant battery powered Maxxxx. Still waiting to get my hands on it. They have proved in past they can bring market leading devices to us.
Besides I don't think Google will put it's money in anything that will incurr a loss. Please correct me if I am wrong.

How to save Motorola

1.) Make sure only Motorola get latest Android version at lease 6 months ahead of other manufacturer.

2.) Nexus phone will be produce by Motorola not Samsung.

3.) Release latest Android update in this manner, Motorola first, Sony second, LG third, HTC fourth, Samsung Last, killed your strongest opponent first followed by weaker opponent.

4.) Make sure other manufacturer pay dearly for usage of Android, use it to fund Motorola.
