If it's a budget phone then specs comes second, first most important is the price.

Those soft keys are Android icons from way back Honeycomb days.

Also, its a supposed to be a BUDGET phone. so unless we start seeing the price range this phone will be in, you cant really comment if the specs suck or not...this could be a $50 phone - and at that price point, who can it complete with?

Actually, Acer is making a pure Android smartphone, one with no buttons, not a copy.

with an MTK6575, i believe this one should be very affordable, there are a lot of sub-$200 phones with mtk6575 in the market(well chinese market) mtk6575 might be cheap, but it's very reliable . . i have an android phone with an mtk6573 for a few months now, and got it for just around $180, it's very fast considering it's only 650mhz overclocked to 800mhz, way faster than the galaxy Y and on par with the galaxy ace(i could run some gameloft games), with an mtk6575, running hd and gameloft games shouldn't be a problem(there are youtube videos on this)

I don't know if im just over-thinking, but isn't the 3 touchtone buttons on the phone identical as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus?

Companies have been sueing eachother for no particular reason, this might lead to another lawsuit once again. Acer, you're not helping yourself here.

On a side note, phone has a nice model, a nice screen and most likely a nice price. But the Specs for the phone itself, not quite impressing to be honest.
