I'll stick with any brand except Apple thanks and charge and/or transfer data with a micro USB cable.

Wow. What an innovation. No doubt they've got the patent all sewn up on this one - with the hope that someone might have the misfortune of trying to impersonate the form factor. I am so over Apple right now.

APPLE should be banned from sale in Europe! All other manufacturers agreed to standardize and use micro-usb connections. Please someone in EU trading standards have some balls and tell the saps to change the port.

TBH I have one of those B W stereo ipod things, and still just use my old iPod nano (the rectangle one) with it. My iPhone 4S never uses it.. thats always in my pocket.

I've been reading all these alleged iphone 5 parts that are on the wild and I am now confident that we know nothing about it. Otherwise this is going to be the most grotesque "secret" development of a smartphone in the history and Apple will lose much of its reputation. If that is the case then I'm done with i-products...

Apple dont go with MicroUSB because it does not fit in with the unique brand that they portray. Having a standardised charging point would not be very "Apple" one bit....
As an Iphone 4S user i wish they would jjust keep the 30pin connecter. If i go for the 5 my docking station is now useless without an ugly adapter which no doubt will cost around £9.99

> In reply to HO @ 2012-08-24 08:59 from q}Kh - click to readThere is no EU law about Micro-USB. There was a thing most the manufactures volentaraly signed up to, including apple. Thats why, if you ask very nicely, you can get an adapter from an apple store which will allow you to plug a micro usb into your iphone.
