Motorola is such a good handset maker...I own their Defy from last 15 months...It is very awesome handset..!But people don't want to see beyond galaxy series of samsung and apple iphone...!Motorola has always provided great quality handsets at good prices ..very bad news for fans of Motorola...!

Guys i am planning to buy motorola atrix 2 in india. It is costing me 18,499/-. It is the best phone in this price range and the best specs. i really loved this phone for its specs, features and review. But i heard the news that motorola is shutting down operations in india. So if i buy it, will i be facing some issues with aftersale support and service.?? please get back to me ASAP

This is really a shocking news from the inventor of Mobile phones. Instead of shutting down, please adopt new marketing techniques and make aware and ensure the general public about the service centre availability of phones. The major drawback of Motorola was the lack of service centers and marketing.

things must be bad to shrink work in asian countries, when there stopping jobs in places that what workers earn in a year than what executives in motorola earn in a day there is something fishy.

its very bad news for me cause i am still working with motorola in delhi india and after working with moto for more than 5 years as seniir motowhiz i was shocked to hear this news and try to get new job in other campany.

Very bad decision my Motorola. they could have easily conquered the market with few good models. Motorola Razr Maxx was one of that kind. No other phone is there to compete with that Super Phone. I would say a very dump decision.

Its one of the very bad news of my life, bcos I like motor very much, I am attached to it emotionally, and I am one of its oldest employees in india. Its not that moto can't do well in india, now or google and motor are one and the same, if new models are launched, with slight publicity definitely motorola will be the undisputed king again. What about its employees and promoters after shutting down in india.

Google its not right decision....

Please take it back....highly unexpected, shocking and worst decision....

I was so happy when google bought Motorola....this decision will spoil the reputation of both google and motorola.

hah i'm not suprised! never liked them and never had much of the market and for those who do like them have bad taste. Never the less it is always a shame that a company has to shrink its work force.

In one way, it is very sad to see Motorola shutting operations. I have had 3 motorolas including my current phone. I am a fan.

But on the other hand, people deserve this. When people are buying crappy plastic monilithic design phones in bulk and ignoring a brand like motorola, they don't need great phones. Tasteless and senseless buyers will always encourage louzy brands. I just realized that I live in such a region. :(

shame, i never used a motorola in my whole life until i bought a defy plus last week,was impressed by it.........this always happens to me, buying stuff from companies which leave the scene even before i finish the user guide...
