desire x is super faaast , good for gaming ,better camera resolution and bigger RAM
single core phone are good or dual core????
I'm confused between htc desire v and htc desire x???
plz suggest me...
Even though this phone comes with dual-core CPUs. They are based on the lower end Cortex A5 architecture. A5 lacks L2 Cache and its performance is about 60% of an A9.
So despite having dual-core, Desire X should performance about the same as the single-core One V. With a less powerful GPU, no wonder why it is priced lower than the One V.
Don't like how HTC is manufacturing its phones like Apple does. I.e. The casing is difficult to open thus making repaires more difficult.
The only difference between desire vt and this is the dual core processor, RAM size and may be slightly lesser in price compared to desire vt..
This suits for a budget minded buyer..
so this is a phone, with seemingly better spces than the one v and desire vc, and yet, how is it supposed to be priced below the one v?
Also, When is this releasing in Indian markets?
Cowz, 30 Aug 2012No GSMArena are wrong as they clearly say they are referring to the specs (not the pricing). The following words are from AnandTech:
"Today HTC announced the Desire X, a device that resembles their higher end One S, but is targeted at budget minded consumers. According to The Verge, it has a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play inside. Unlike the Snapdragon S4 SoC we're familiar with, the 28 nanometer model with a pair of 1.5 GHz Krait cores and an Adreno 225 graphics processor, the S4 Play is a 45 nanometer SoC that uses a pair of ARM Cortex A5 cores and the Adreno 203. Performance wise, ARM says that a Cortex A5 can deliver 1.57 DMIPS/MHz. To put that into some perspective, the Cortex A8 delivers 2.0 DMIPS/MHz, and the Cortex A9 that's inside many of today's devices can pump out 2.50 DMIPS/MHz.
Qualcomm's Krait core can do 3.30 DMIPS/MHz, more than double the performance of ARM's Cortex A5."
so when GSM ARENA , techradar guys say its specs are not good enough.... believe them....n if its priced above one v then guess its over priced...
So, Dual Core, Bigger Screen, more recent and generally a better phone and its supposed to sit below a single core 3.7 inch phone?
jbitounis, 30 Aug 2012Well, judging from the similarities to Desire S, I think the release of this phone means there... morehey, ICS for desire S is already online at htc-dev site, or at xda. good luck :)
aaa, and the phone sounds good. if i had to replace my desire s, i go with this one :)
naming, 30 Aug 2012it's sad name desire went from high end phone to budget phoneAnd I'd take THE HTC Desire over any of these wannabes any day.
Well, judging from the similarities to Desire S, I think the release of this phone means there won't be an ICS update any time soon for the S. This is really embarrassing for HTC and one of the main reasons I don't go for Android yet.
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2012Its specs are well above Desire C and One VAnother sensible person.
