Diffrent persons have different requirements. My requirement may be fullfill with Ascend G 600, so eagerly awating its release. Processor, battery, operating system, audio, screen perfomance and price are my main concern.

IF ''1.2GHz dual-core CPU'' is MID RANGE as you call it, then why iPhone 4S is called hi range when it has ONLY 1G dual core cpu? Or just the rotten apple logo makes it high end by default ?
BTW it has a rectangular shape with curved corners... They should made it either triangle or circle so they wouldn't ''copy'' apple "innovation" !

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-08-31 21:02 from sF}U - click to readHonestly, 1gb of ram and at least 2g of rom are what is needed on android, at least.

The rom because the apps dont go fully on the sd cards, this is what is needed at least to have something fully usable, and this is not that hard to do at a low price !

But it could ruin the market to do something like this, why buy something more expensive when your 200€ device is fully usable ?

In all honesty, anything less than 1Gb RAM won't cut it. So far even low end phones are turning up with that as a bench mark. Rather than that cut down on internal storage and increase RAM. Most people need the extra RAM and buy SD cards for storage.

I have been monitoring the smartphone market for the past one year and the trying to understand its evolution, honestly Huawei is on the right track by diversifying their business. They are a leading Telecom provider but this market is shrinking and operators are not spending on infrastructure like before. So Huawei decided to move to the mass business of handsets services. They might not look very competitive now but they can make it after few years. This is a right business decision.

Huawei needs to price this very strategically if it wants to have a decent market share & make that available globally.
