Microsoft - Nokia....baby.....I still love you. You're my special partner.
Nokia - But what about the WP8 announcement where I got screwed over on upgrades?
Microsoft - Baby that was nothing. It meant nothing to me. I was drunk, and you know how I can get.
Nokia - Well explain the tablet announcement. I had tablet plans you know. Id announced them. You knew it.
Microsoft - Come on. You made me do that. I didn't want to slap you like that, but you made me angry. I felt real bad afterwards. Honest.
Nokia - Ok. I I still love you....
Microsoft - I love you too baby. SLAP - Im making my own phone!
Nokia - What the H$%^? Are you crazy?
Microsoft - I I just cant help it baby. You know how I am.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-09-04 23:18 from MDVw - click to readFunny how in ever WP topic you post how smooth
Jellybean is and there is no lag and it's fixed now.
Still trying hard convice yourself i think.
You've used a quad-core Android, your know for a fact
lag still shows up now and then still.
WP users are happy without these "Lag is truly fixed this time now" updates every month or so.
Tiles are what we like for simple and fast use.
We welcome Windows making their own phone.
More the better using the funky hip tiles the better.
It's why we brought the phone.

Nokia can compete google maps and such with its own strength.
but the point here is WP7 is rising, so will the WP8 be...

I don't think Nokia will ever go with Android unless WP8 failed miserably. Nokia has Navteq mapping that competes directly with Google Maps.

> In reply to me @ 2012-09-04 18:04 from 05Jh - click to readI have to agree with that. Those are the reasons I left Android. They have too many issues. You would have to have many android phones to know those issues. And no Jelly bean can't fix it. Android has too many fragmented SoCs and graphics chips. Something they can't fix unless Google created another different OS.

Doesn't really make sense.
The idea behind the Surface tablet seemed to be a way to make sure the industry will focus on making good products. That makes sense when there are several of makers that didn't seem to put the focus in the right place.
In the phone market, well Microsoft has great control over the hardware inside. And with Nokia as a primary partner, they can even influence the looks, if they want.
With the low market shar, MS would scare of their partners, so it would pretty much only be MS and Nokia left, and that is not a great way to gain market share.

No they won't go for android, WP8 was their best decision, android simply has too many issues which is mainly caused by different hardware. Every android device comes with it's own unique issues. And don't tell me your android never had one of the following issues: crashing apps, android crashes and your device reboots, problems with wifi, lag, apps which didn't work on your device because the developer couldn't optimize it for your phone because there are a billion different android phones.

If they do this it will be produced by Nokia. They might do this to reach people who don't want a nokia branded device but a microsoft branded device.

> In reply to Max @ 2012-09-04 15:40 from 9CxY - click to readNokia can form a subsidiary company with another name then use the similar hardware (LUMIA) to run on Android.
This will not violate the agreement between Nokia & Microsoft.

If microsoft want to kill Samsung mobile, then they will go with their own Windows 8 powered phone.
Confuse?
Let me clarify, If microsoft produce their own windows phone, then Nokia will go with Android and it means Android lover will see the Nokia smartphone with,
Pureview Camera+Offline Nokia maps+ Nokia Music service+ Lifetime free turn by turn voice navigation+ Extremely beautiful look like Lumia 800+ Solid hardware+ Android JB etc....= Best phone in The world!
So , Samsung it might be bad news for you.
