N95 is more than a year old and SE is going to release their N95-counter in Q4 2008.

That makes N95 almost two years.

Nokia is always ahead of its time

@ AM:

Those pics are so obviously fake and photoshopped.
For once, I'm actually starting to have some faith in SE, but the HALF qwerty keypad??? Hasn't SE learnt its lesson yet? Either implement a full qwerty keypad or just a regular numerical one.
And it also looks kind of thick, no?

UIQ? useless OS. WM would be better. Symbian UIQ leads nowhere.
i mean it is a dead-end.

Please note it is a compressed image and it's actually a screenshot from a lousy video, which somehow the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog (USEB) got from Sony Ericsson.

The phone looks much worse in this picture. Note it is said to have "metal accents" and use "premium materials"

All spypics look ugly, remember the N82? What about the K850?

If the P5 doesn't have a proper QWERTY keyboard, not half keys like the P1, then it's doomed. SE, do it right, learn from the Samsung F700 or Nokia E61i that have the best (mechanical) keyboards in the industry.

@ g

the p5 has been in production for quiet a while but have been wanting it perfect for release as far as i have heard it was in pre production at the same time as the x1 but se are are the ones that are making this handset where as htc have made the x1

with regards to the naming of the "P" range they haven't really stuck to a certain set of numbers they went from the p990 to the p1 so i cant see em sticking to a pattern

This can not be announced anytime soon, if it is even true rumour. The problem with SE company is that it takes years to realise an anounced phone. The X1 realise date is alread extended to next year.

And why leap all the way from P1 to P5!
(Am an SE fanatic by the way)
