Apple cuts back chip orders from Samsung, the war rages on - read the full textYou are all aware of the recent major US patent lawsuit involving Apple and Samsung. So far their patent quarrels had not have any impact on their component supply deal, which has Samsung provide most of the memory chips that Apple uses in its mobile device. According to Reuters and several...

Wow, if Apple is doing this now, I think it would only be for 2 reasons:
1) Apple would finally man up and manufacture their own parts (or at least just one part?) for the phones that they so proudly brag about. I want to see if they can still brag about a truly original phone that they manufacture once that happens.

2) They are going to produce less and less phones from here on. Because they know that sooner or later (i'd prefer sooner) almost all of the companies that they stole their ideas from are going to come back to haunt them.

Apple sues Polish grocery store over the letter A
The Internet country code top-level domain for Poland is “.pl.” The first letter of the alphabet in the Polish language, like in most, is the letter “a.” Put them together and you have Apple’s latest legal attack target:
Wow, Just when you thought Crapple couldn’t sink any lower! I am really getting worried about my i20 now. I remember many years ago as a kid learning to spell - first up was a for apple.. (steven paul jobs wasn’t even born yet) but hey don’t tell the idiots at Crapple next thing you know we will have to destroy all the kiddies books shame on you Crapple your greed knows no bounds.! Next on Crapples list will probably be Adam and Eve, didn’t they eat the apple? Oh wait maybe Adam had a "iprod" under his fig leaf

Perhaps Apple needs fewer chips because it's not going to be selling so many iPhones in future :-)

During Steve's era, thing did not get that far as he understood suing other companies will soon become the liability to Apple.

Instead he put focus on creating new and innovative products even though they were not original.

He made them so beautiful and look expensive and everyone love them so much.

Without Steve, Apple totally has lost direction and not sure what to do.
Instead putting focus on creating new innovative products, suing other companies who can make better products than Apple.

This is really sad. I respect Steve's vision who gave Apple 2nd life and very very unfortunate that soon someone will ruin it and cause Apple to fall!

How about this for another twist.. HTC accuses Apple of infringing two patents it owns for ways to reliably transmit a larger amount of data. Taoyuan, Taiwan-based HTC said the patented methods are critical to the 4G technology known as LTE, or long-term evolution, that allow faster downloads.
Apple's trouble will also be from HTC. Their patents are just as strong as Samsung why because they had the first 4g device that ever hit the market over 2yrs ago in the Htc Evo 4g the granddaddy of all 4g/LTE devices
Apple has had a feeding frenzy with fraud technologies over the years but sues over rounded corners. Apple once a beautiful company are now the bane-capital of the IT industry.

Apple has gone really insane. They are now SUING a GROCERY STORE IN POLAND for having the name '' groceries''

Apple claims that the name is a patent infringement on its own name.APPLE claims this grocery store is drawing massive customers to itself.

Finally it had to happen. The divorce of Apple and Samsung in terms of the manufacturing of chips. Apple are losing out in regards to court battles and therefore decides to find new companies to help them manufacture their chips. Looks like other companies will have to be weary about Apple as they will definitely bite the hand that feeds them. Watch out Sony!!

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-09-11 09:53 from 3ajb - click to readThat's a good question minus one problem...What does it have to do with the current situation at hand???

There current situation at hand has to do with Apple"monopolistic, terrorist like, illegal, copy cat, generic, lying, cheating stealing company" trying to claim that they invented the world and the rectangle and the general public believe such abnormal things. While doing this Samsung made better products and got butthurt over it. So I fail to see what that has to do with this....

Are you aware Apple has to keep photoshopping the Samsung products in question to make them the same size and shae as the I product in question? Or that they have not yet got in trouble for this falsified evidence? Or that they keep changing their story? Or the fact that they want $30-$40 per phone and tablet from 2010 meaning if Samsung makes about $12 profit off Iphone because of their parts Apple would then have kept the Samsung parts for free while making huge profit off them?

How would you feel if a friend you trusted steals from your idea to make fortunes for himself. Honestly, what would you do with such a friend thereafter. If I were in the Apple camp, that friend would curse the day he decided to steal from me.

Anonymous @ 2012-09-10 12:09 from u7md - click to readThe problem with Apple is that they dont really have core technology. They just acquired others to fullfill the technology needs.

Apple is more like a fashion company such as LV, DKNY, Channel, Choach, a trend setting company.

Apple spends much money on branding, marketing to make the cheap products looks expensive and consumers have to pay premium price.

Is the garbled interpretation of "prior art" how the nine jurors decided that Apple deserved $1 billion+?

The software on the Apple side could not be placed into the processor on the prior art, and vice versa. That means they are not interchangeable. That changed everything right there. Got that? Yeah, neither did I.
If Apple was planning to do something "insanely great" with the upcoming iPhone 5, this might not matter. The first iPhone earned that label, but each successive release seems to set the bar a bit lower.

The last time Apple found itself Jobs-less, it fell into the habit of protecting its margins at the expense of real innovation.
Steve Jobs isn't around to help Apple should it eventually stumble again. The company has to get over its defensiveness and be insanely great instead of just insanely litigious.
I drive a Hyundai i20. I hope Apple don’t ban this car. Maybe Apple owns the letter i, or maybe they copied that along with all the other stuff they copied and now claim they own all the rights to...
