Why post this stuff as if the ICS upgrade is here? It is promised, as it has been for what, a year?
Yeah, it's out in India and Hong Kong.
I'll "rejoice" when I see it.

Meanwhile, the original Atrix is stuck with a buggy Gingerbread ROM. Where's the ICS update? In matter fact, the original Atrix deserves Jelly Bean. Even less capable phones will be updated to Jelly Bean, like the Galaxy Ace 2. That's why i'm done with Motorola. My next Android phone will be from LG or Samsung, that's for sure.

The battery has improved. I usually leave my data off at work and get down to 90% battery after 4.5 hours. Today it is at 98% after 3.5 hours and that is with use and having to turn on data for a while to receive emails and photos.

Applied the update. I like the speed of the phone, however, the camera still needs much improving. I took some shots in low light and they were very grainy...not impressed with the camera...another thing is that under the camera settings...it defaults to taking 6Mp pictures....why moto? why?

> In reply to JG @ 2012-09-13 13:52 from McyD - click to readUsually an android phone, once it is carrier unlocked, it will never get locked again even after upgrade. I tried in my dell streak (AT&T) from 1.6 to 2.2 update and also tried with HTC Amaze (T-Mobile) from 2.3 to ICS no problem at all.
