So you're saying who cares about the quality control because you should put it in a case. What's the point of having a shiny brand new, sleek looking device, then sticking it in some chunky bumper case that makes it ugly and twice as thick? You say most people put their iPhones in a case anyway? Well yes, but that's because the iPhone 4 and 4S were glass and quite fragile if you dropped them.. and because of that it seems to have become the norm.
A bumper case is NOT the solution to shoddy workmanship. If this is Apple's idea of quality control on a 'premium' product then shame on them. One more reason not to buy an iPhone in my book.
Baracus, 23 Sep 2012The iPhone is actually a almost direct copy of the original LG Prada.yeah! apple can really copy that phone for just only a few month! lol!
Anonymous, 23 Sep 2012I love how this has become a major news story when the Nexus 7's crap build quality is ignored... moreWhile Apple keep taking every man and his dog to court they deserve everything they get. They made themselves a target by their own actions, so having made their bed they better enjoy lying on it. It is entirely of their own making.

I suppose this is what you get when you fly handsets halfway around the world.
I love how this has become a major news story when the Nexus 7's crap build quality is ignored as well as the many SGS3 complaints. It all goes quiet when a eastern company produces poor build quality, but when it comes from America, it's like "whoa dude, this sucks"
I suppose Apple and its western roots is a clear target for some with agendas.....
HTC also used aluminium on their One S phone and had same issues. But their issues started a week or two after unboxing. Guess Apple's iScratch innovation couldn't wait a week or two to show itself in full shiny glory (pun intented).
[Apple are probably gonna say they meant to have it's coating fall off and just call it "Apple Peel" which is a patented new feature that no other phone does.]
^ comment of the week lolol
Cheap aluminium. They could've used more durable plastic, but no.
I hope people are beginning to learn now that putting expensive materials like glass and aluminium on a phone doesn't mean it's gonna make a better phone.
Because glass shatters and metal causes signal and coating problems. But Polycarbonate on S3 etc is strong, flexible and light and that flexibility means it can absorb a lot of the impact where metal just dents and transfers all the energy into the phone.
I dont know till what time people will ignore its shortcomings. I have used iP 4S and samsung S2 & S3 as well. S3 is matchless. No comparisons at all. Delivering Quality Consistently is not that easy task. Apple needs to wake up and should focus on quality rather than on quantity.

Just about never see phones from any other brand with a case.
I got to say you people are hilarious :)). As for the iphone... shit happens, but it's still a decent phone.
Proud owner of an iphone 4 and a samsung galaxy tab 2.
