Apple iPhone 5 aluminum shell plagued by chipping issues - read the full textIt seems to have become a routine now. Every year Apple releases a new iPhone and while most of the customers are delighted a subset of buyers pull the short end of the stick. With the iPhone 4, it was the antennagate issue, with the iPhone 4S it was the battery life problem and now some iPhone 5...

no.1 mobile company. Look at
them now, they are continueing to go down. Aswell as BB. And I think. Samsung will also do patent for sure what apple did patented if they knew it first.
And they will also sue apple cos of that patent to stay on the game. And I think if u r also into this business. You'll also do what apple did. Cos if ur the only company that has that something, u have the market for that. That any other company dont have. So if u let other company use what u have,
u will lose ur costumer. You wont let ur company go down, right?!
Thats apple strategy to stay on top.

Apple is not greedy and bully! Business is business!

Chinese (crappy) product in American box. In fact, the box is also Chinese, but marketing is American...
All together - not worth money and bother...

In better news your Iphone though it may come out of box scratched it will survive a fall way better than Iphone has in the past.

So either Apple's greed meant they tried to save money on production costs or Apple's greed ended up sending 2000 employees rioting and they deliberately made shoddy products.
But any way you look at it it's Apple's greed that's to blame.

I'm not an iphone user but to be fair, most new phone that comes out now always have some issue in the beginning. So it's not surprising that iphone 5 has a case problem.
The phone companies are so involved in trying to one up each other that they neglected to see the real issue - quality products for its customers. They think it's ok to roll out a product that they know has an issue that could crop up but gamble that we the consumer either won't complain or if we do, it's only an inconsequential few. And we the consumers are so used to receiving second rated goods that we just shrugged and think, it's ok, they'll come up with a fix.
I wonder what would happen if everone who received a "problem" phone return them for a refund rather than wait for them to fix it. Will this make the phone company finally sit up and take notice?

Listen people, the issue isn't that other phones are perfect and iP is not. The issue is, iFans say that iPs are superior in terms of quality even though the hardware inside is doesn't match up to the high end droids.
Every phones may have issues and the manufacturers learn from mistakes, agreed. Just that, don't convince yourself that God made Apple products and it is the greatest in the world. iP is just another phone with it's own merits and demerits.
Why call Samsung to be made of cheap plastic when it is more durable than iPhone?

All you fans of every phone need to understand is that whatever phone you use is serving your purpose and you will throw it in the garbage in a couple of years unless you are insanely rich or too dumb to upgrade every 6 months.

I own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I'm very happy with it. Another phone may or may not be better than mine, but I'm extremely happy with my purchase. A windows phone may help me get to post a facebook pic one click faster, but that really doesn't matter to me.
I use a DSLR for camera so not even the bestest of the best phone camera can replace my cam.

I like the iPhone only because it is the reason that Androids are getting better in such a quick pace.

I hate Apple because it hinders innovation. Apple never innovated anything. All they did is steal ideas that existed over the past few decades, and patent it.

The inventors of the technology didn't patent it because they supported innovation. They wanted others to copy so technology gets better for end users.

If you notice, Nokia had the simplest user interface a couple of years back. Almost every other manufactures copied it. Including Sony Erricson phones. Only the location of the menu button and back button were interchanged. Yes, they copied, but what was the end result? Both Nokia and Sony users got best of eachother. Now that's innovation. That's how companies should be so that no matter what we own, be it a WP or iP or a Droid, we have the latest and the greatest. And we have a life by cherishing the features in our phone rather than fighting like retards that mine is better than yours.

Regarding Apple's innovation, please don't mistake that I'm blabbering because I have facts to support it

Thank you for taking your time off to read my comment. I really wish all of you keep an open mind when looking at a phone.

My wife and I bought Apple 4’s when they came out, after only one month my wife’s iPhone stopped working. I contacted Apple many many times and it took more than 6 weeks to finally have Apple to repair the phone free of charge even though it was under their so called warranty.
I was given very bad information by the Apple employees for the repair for the phone and the arrogance I received exceeded anything I have been submitted to by any other company in this world.
Have you ever tried to contact Apple via email? Virtually impossible as no Apple email address can be found on the net except media@apple.com
I contacted them with my story about the treatment I received and then I finally got some emails out of Apple.
If you want to really let Apple know how you feel about these injustices done by this arrogant company then contact these people:
Jayesh Kamath jayesh.k@apple.com Janine Beach jbeach@apple.com Frank Teo frank_teo@apple.com media.help@apple.com Shelley Reid sreid1@asia.apple.com media@apple.com

Might even be a 2 year old. On every comment this person has been writing a load of crap with no facts to back up. Its just his/her opinion really so people don't get angry with a 2 year old please.

It's the fault of the customer for dropping it 'wrong'. An OTA patch will be made available to provide a more accurate indicator of the chipping ;)
