> In reply to galvic.xda @ 2012-09-27 00:34 from uv9t - click to readWell you are right obviously. But Nokia burnt that bridge themselves.
Everybody was telling them that the N9 was a really good step in the right direction back then. Even the usual anti-nokia crowd was impressed. And what do these bozos do.... they jump ship!
If RIM was smart they'd quickly hire some of those ex-Nokia engineers and make BB OS 10 better than what harmattan could have been.
I will look at it with an open mind. It looks good and I knew that QNX was a good OS. So the foundation is solid I think. Hopefully RIM don't fuck it up like Nokia is doing.

A shame they took the titanic route with Microsoft. But it's like they say: They're in the boat together now!

It's almost the same as MeeGo!
Actually, it looks like a mix between Belle and Meego, but mostly like Meego

Well it seems to be an OK phone for now, they have no choice to pack that phone with a dual core processor to stay in the game, besides that, the OS looks nice but still looks like that other Nokia phone. Hopefully, they will emerge back from the pits from hell they have been lingering for quite a while. I mean, come on! How can you survive because of young kids who still use BBM? If we go back in time, Blackberry were made specially for business people with push email to their phone...AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE SHOULD PAY TO GET PUSH EMAIL....That was a silly idea and security wise, it was a bold move. I think the best phone they ever had was the BB 9800 and 9810 because we had advantage of the full touch screen and the classic BB keyboard. It also had a good cell reception and service. That would be the only BB I will ever use. Well, when I hear about these phone (made mostly in Mexico by qualcomm)...the cheap built makes me puke. I hope they will learn of their mistakes...

Wow...just viewed the Nokia N9 UI hands-on youtube video and you're all correct; RIM's new UI is so similar. As a Canadian I am saddened at this.
Maybe I should get an N9 instead of iPhone5

1st screen App list
2nd screen Currently running apps
3rd screen Notifications
This is what is N9's swipe UI is about, and yeah meego is a free OS but N9 runs Maemo Harmattan which is compatible with MeeGo apps, skinned with Nokias proprietry Swipe UI
