I just updated my Xperia sola to Android 4.0.4 and works fine. I'm from Romania.
The new firmware disabled the Facebook integration in other applications because it affected performance. I'm not a Facebook user, so this is no problem for me. I wonder if I can uninstall Facebook now, under Android 2.3.7 I couldn't.
The phone worked fine with 2.3.7, but I hope 4.0.4 will make it even better.
Thank you, Sony programmers! I'll thank you even more if you give us next year a taste of 4.2!
