For the people who want this phone but live outside USA you can get the international version which is called RAZR MAXX. It has the same specs but you can use it with any GSM carrier. I've had my Moto RAZR MAXX for a month and it's a great phone but I paid 170 U$ dollars on my contract here in Mexico. Anyway it was worth it considering for the same price I'd get a Galaxy S2 or a Xperia P which don't have premium materials but comparable hardware

I get the upside of carriers, but the down side needs considering...
For the first time in near a decade, Motorola has a product that has got the attention of the market.
To promote the phone as value via a carrier puts the carrier before the phone.
Time to re-think who is wagging who here Google/Motorola.

I am so fed up of reading 'carrier' or 'contract'. Don't they want any freedom. I want the freedom to start/stop using any network provider as long or short as i desire.
