The "tablet dock" is simply a screen and battery so puting the phone into the dock has the phone's display output to a larger screen. This turns the phone into a tablet.

So basically the big draw with this device is that you can stick the phone in the back of the tablet?

I don't think Asus's Padfone concept work because it is redundant to plug the phone (fone) to the tablet PC (Pad).

The good part about the Padfone 2 is that one Padfone station can be shared between any number of people. So fork out the cash for the phone and split the cost of the Padfone station with someone (or more than one person). The phone itself is great value for its specs. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

samsung has already sold 20-30 million galaxy s3 .... and they're now dropping it's price substancially

this is the advantage of samsung being able to deliver products earlier than the competition.

i just wonder how this product can compete with ridiculously high prices.

Yup. Digitizer is very different thing. Samsung uses WACOM's and with a big screen like Note,Note2 or Note 10, works great...

I didn't interest in capasitive screens after using Samsung Galaxy Note! Writing, drawing etc. awesome!

I appreciate all this new tech, but when will companies like Samsung, Asus, Apple, Nokia etc etc start taking Africa serious (Nigeria), they have good market here but each time a new product is out we have to wait for eons to buy them here.
Let them look out what Blackberry are doing now, over two million devices from Nigeria, that is impressive.

Asus is so slow in the shipment of its product in Malaysia that by the time Padfone 2 reaches the shores Padfone 3 would have been launched.
