Iphone is the best phone that was ever created !
it makes everything that 10 N95 will make together !
it`s easier to describe what it cant make :
No 3G , Only 2mpx camera , No GPS, strange connection with bluetooth .....

i still think you have to get this phone unlocked anyways cus it still has a major drawback of sms fowarding you just cannot foward sms that has been sent to you unless apple gives out a free software cus in india iwill be a problem cus most of the people in India are into smsing cus smsd on the unlocked iphone is just too good for fowarding smss apple should release a software for fowarding sms.

Lots of good points, most of which are very correct. The only big problem with the iPhone on Vodafone UK, is that you will only be getting support through stores if you're using a Jailbroken phone. I.e. if you ring TCS they won't help you one bit.
There's still a small chance that we will range the 3G iphone when it comes out but from what i could tell when talking to handset/stock queries is that we're leaning more towards the Xperia as the profit margins are greater. This only on the Business side, i have no idea about consumer but i imagine quite similar.

I bet that Vodafone will brand it with their stupid software and like with all other devices that they brand, they completely ruin! By some small miracle if anyone from Vodafone see's this: catch a wake up... your software is lame.... leave the original, it the way it's meant to be!

stu u have no idea what your talking about, 3g does not provide extra coverage for anyone but tesltra customers. Every toher network always has 2g where 3g is being upgraded as they are doing it on the same tower,

Voda has horrible coverage in australia and unless a phone that the has 3g nobody will buy it. Its not bringing anything new to the table that will make people want it.

It is fantastic that Vodafone has the rights to iphone. I hope that wakes up Telestra. They charge so much for there network services. go! Vodafone!
this will put vodafone on the map. It will improve their business x10000

Wanted to put it out there, that i'm a Vodafone employee for Vodafone UK. at present o2 have exclusive rights with the current handset, for now. as the 3G version still hasn't been announced there is no confirmation that voda wont sell the 3G iphone, as is there no confirmation that another provider will. Vodafone are also not allowed to mention any plans of selling the current handset if they are going to in the future as this would infringe apples contract with o2. no promises, but they can in the future. The other thing is, the iphone works perfectly with vodafone wap services. Take any unlocked iphone into a voda store and ask them to type in 'iphone configuration' on the search box on their in store intranet. wap and mms settings all there.
If i was in your shoes other voda people, i'd probably feel the same
