This must be the worst phone HTC has produced. I have experienced so many problems with the Touch Diamond that I am looking to dump it in the nearest dustbin. All I can say is DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING A HTC TOUCH DIAMOND PHONE!!

You guys, must read a little bit more.. HTC Diamond is a nice and powerful mobile.. I have one and it does everything you've said that it doesn't, I am very satisfied... The only things that could get better is the VGA performance and Screen size..
bye!

Dont Buy! Battery is extremely Bad!!!
I've sold mine and I'm buying a E71. The Battery is extremely bad.
Apparently When i went to sell it off, the Shop guy is showing me 2 more guys in the same boat. Waiting to sell it and buy E71. And the resale value is pathetic!!!
If u really want to check out diamond, pls look in the market, theres a lot of 2nd hand stuff available at almost half the price or lesser!

The Diamond has a serious problem. When dialing a number the screen blanks after about 3 seconds. When asked by an automatic switchboard for further user input (say press 1 for tech support, 2 for sales etc.) The user must restart the screen by either switching on again or pulling out the stylus, then press the keypad button, then if the three second "power save mode" gives you time, enter a number. The screen again blanks, so that any further user input requires you to go through the whole procedure again. Painful. HTC say the setting cannot be changed. Surely a firmware or software upgrade could put this serious flaw right!

This phone seems to have the best UI for a win mobile platform device. I've tried the 1st generation Iphone and that defintly set the bar for all smartphones. Neverthlss, kudos to HTC for the new Touch Flo 3D. I've got a Diamond now. And if they simply replaced the asthmatic speakers and the 3.2 mp camera with Sony Ericsson's, this wud be the bomb. Btw, u'll never get the perfect phone. For one thing the technology kips gettn better. And another reason...well, money keeps the world turnning and churnning.

Something to share with u guys. I bought this phone 3 days ago and send for replacement the next day after purchased.
There are 3 problems I found:
1)Audio- sometimes got sometimes no. Experience this when i was play around the music function, when jump to another songs several times (5-6 times), no audio come out. Samething happends when u play with the ringtone settings.
2)Get warm easily- Discovered this when I send my contact one by one from my old phone to this diamond via bluetooth. After bout 7-8 contacts continuously send, the back lower part of diamond become super warm!!
3)Battery life- The battery cannot last for more then 2 hours after fully charge (under a normal use, regardless the power saving mode), which is very dissapointed.
Hopefully this is juz a defective unit, or else i'm very regret to bought it althought the phone's function looks great and impressive, but still, with the above 3 mentioned problems, I rather get others phone

Hello,
Can anyone enlighten me as to the calendar functionality of the Touch Diamond? It's a really important part of a PDA to me...
Thank you.

I tested the Diamond and found some concerning issues.
The device looks amazing, that's correct, but still - I believe it has many problems.
Read my review in my blog:

I bought the HTC Diamond last week. I found that when you send out a text message (SMS),there is no sound nor pop up notice to tell you whether the text message is sent successfully. Those who have bought this model please share your experience with me in this respect.
Thanks!

This phone looks incredible, but where are the reviews? I refuse to buy a phone until I read the reviews. Htc Touch Diamond is also very expensive, however it appears to be the ultimate all in one.

"HTC should've given the device a bit of shape - why always so square on the edges!?!""----------------
Some people really dont know what they are typing. Dude the is the only one other than "Advantage' that has square edge from HTC. Rest of them are all ugly round edges. This has that killer look thanks to the shape and I'm thinking of going for it. Why you think thay have named it Diamond anyway.
