One touch, one HTC Touch Diamond

in all honesty, 4gb memory cards are usually the max capability of phones nowadays anyway. disadvantages would be no hot swapping and slow down when almost full, but capacity itself wouldn't be a problem for larger number of users. my other opinions on it: hate the tacky back design; decent cam specs but any sort of flash would eliminate any gripes; and, imho, overall design doesn't have as much mass-appeal as the original htc touch...despite this, it's an incredible phone I hope to be able to afford one day...T_T

It is shaped like an mp3 player. Like a Zune or an iPod with a smaller scroll wheel. Looks cool. Makes every past HTC phone look prehistoric or a brick. I like the direction they are going with their UI. Still kinda lags though.

Is seems to be a quite expensive phone; in the netherlands you can pre-order it for 529,- euro's that's approximately 821,- american dollars...but it may worth it, it looks like a very good phone with great features. Only the battery and no additional memory is a pity.

Its gonna be a Tmobile exclusive. T-mobile is calling it MDA II or something. It looks okay. A little disappointed with HTC only announcing one device. I was hoping for more devices. The Touch Diamond looks up to par I guess. It is what we expect from HTC since they won the smartphone world over with the Touch and the Touch Cruise.

Will this suffer from the video-lag like the Kaiser/Tilt too? And will HTC promise to fix it month after month after month, until their next product cycle shifts attention away from it? o_O

Is this for real?! no flash card of any sort?! none!? only 4gb of flash memory, thats hardly enough for gps+video+music+apps
This mobile has anything except that one cruicial thing called flash card.

Very nice phone. I was never an HTC fan, but I find this phone to be appealing. I like the 2.8 display. I hope it's made of glass or some scratch-proof material. This phone is on my list for my next phone to be, along with X1, Secret, F480 & Tube. But I am really more anxious to see Nokia's tube, and after seeing this new phone from HTC, I'm curious what other new phones they're going to launch in their new line-up. They're heading the right direction. Keep it up HTC.

Touch Diamond is just the first pitch coming from HTC this week. There will be more announcements. And most will likely be using the Manila UI along with real QWERTY. Just keep checking up on the news this week.

Judging by the Youtube demo, the touch interface still doesn't reach the apple smoothness. I'm not an apple fan, but my next phone should definitely have an interface comparable to apple's...
