I am using a Tipo and although it does get the job done, you wish it had more... I certainly could use a better processor, touch screen response, front facing camera and better rear camera.

Those complaining about Adreno 200, its Adreno 200 Enhanced, much faster than the old 200, and on a 320x480 display the performance is good due to the low number of pixels. Look at Tipo, good 3D performance. On a 854x480 display however, like the Xperia J, then Adreno 200 gets a bit slow (~3x more pixels), but the performance should still be enough to play for example Temple Run at a good framerate.

This is not the same SoC as the older ones with Adreno 200 (Snapdragon S1). This new SoC is packing a new Cortex A5 which is very power efficient. I would have preferred as well to use Adreno205.. but it seems that Qualcomm has decided that the new cortex a5 will be packed with adreno 200. So from now on in smartphones powered by qualcomm we'll see either (cortex a5 - adreno 200) or snapdragon s3/s4. And for the one that said that 720p lagged on adreno 200, I have an Xperia X10 and it plays the 720p really well.

so I was just wondering.. will there be no novathor dual core like 2012 xperia in U, P, Go, sola in 2013? Was it just meant to be some experiment from Sony or something? It should be better than just single core 7227A??

Why ditch the msm8225 adreno 205? Whats the point in msm7225/7adreno 200? 2011 series far superior in everything except phone memory!

> In reply to ManITK @ 2012-10-24 22:02 from 0F3I - click to readYes only J and Go are going to be upgreated to JB.
Xperia U still doesnt have ICS and its not going to be upgreated to JB and it is far better of Go and J phones.
Here is Sony announces of JB update --- http://blogs.sonymobile.com/pr...smartphones/

So tipo, miro, sola and U are not in the announcement.
Even 2011 flagships Arc, Arc s are not in there. Samsungs 2011(april) flagship Galaxy S II is going or it is upgradable to JB. Shame on Sony.
