Orange that wasn't a good idea callin Africa a country and further most you listed Egypt! I bought an iphone from USA and all networks in RSA say their systems don't support iphones. I suggest orange n vodafone revisit that list...

it will be interesting to see how the iphone is received in australia as there are basically 2 different networks (im talking frequency wise) with telstra owning the higher quality one which requires certain tech in the handset to access.
Should still be pretty crazy though ;)

i think the iphone was apple's guinea pig. like the original ipod, it was intuitive for it's time, but even then left alot to be desired...wait about...10 more years before we get a more ideal iphone, hehehe

im sorry but the iphone is not a rubbish phone
it makes and receives calls and can text but it is also second to none for the web browsing capabilities which NO ONE can beat!
the mp3 is second to none!
so what if it cant send mms or bluetooth if you dont like it dont buy it and change the record because we have all herd this argument before!
END OFF

U left out Singapore and Philippines. Here is the official statement by Singtel "SingTel, Bharti Airtel, Globe and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Singapore, India, the Philippines and Australia later this year.
More information will be released at a later date." Source:http://home.singtel.com/news_c...08_05.12.asp

Later this year, probably means iPhone 2.0, which in turns means more capabilities and 3G support. Mac OS X mobile is very stable. The device is more responsive than almost every Windows Mobile phone out there, and Pocket Safari is a wonderful experience. And since Apple is already moving away from carrier monopoly, then probably more options are to be granted to users. To think that later this years these providers will be selling the original iPhone, which is already out of stock everywhere, is indeed wrong.
