Had they not been so aggressive pushing their way through false claims, they won't be facing the music now. Apple has used legal means as their biggest weapon against competitors. I am not surprised that would be a double edge sword that bring about apple downfall in the near future.

Situation is bad, but not horribly bad to be called a "war zone".

Don't be ignorant people. Don't fall in the same mistake as Apple and do some research before arguing something. Mexico is not a warzone. Yes, there are druglords, violence acts and military problems, but It's not like movies where people run from home to an abandoned supermarket to grab groceries left on the floor. Don't go only with the things you see in the news. That's why they are news, cuz they are relevant at first moment, but it's not what Mexico's all about. I live at Cd. Juarez (Mexico) and at El Paso (USA) and it's not a destroyed enviroment.

In second place, Mexico benefits Apple sales as much as other latinamerican countries. Most of that numbers are not reflected in sales reports of Mexico, because most of us mexicans living on the border buy electronic products in USA, and our money goes for you, for the numbers of YOUR country. But in all the non-border states, people buy Apple elecronics from authorized sellers and carriers (in the case of the iPhone).

I know mexican and american markets: most mexicans who sign carrier contracts in Mexico, do that because they get the iPhone free with the contract. This news of not selling iPhones with that name in Mexico anymore or not selling them here at all are a massive-negative punch for Apple, PERIOD.
