As it turns out, Apple intended to cancel the 'iFone' patent in Mexico so they can register their own 'iPhone'...

Apple is a good company making good devices, i totally agree they are among one of the best in product design.. but like all have said... they choose to DESTROY competition instead of innovates in a FAIR way..

The problem here is that people could start thinking that iFone is a fake copy of the iPhone name, which will lead to degrading the company name, and making it a fun for everyone. I think the company has the right to preserve his brand, in his own action sphere, even if this sphere is not as big as the Apple marketing one.
