the keypad rocks..! u can type faster than a big QWERTY keypad..currently using a P1i, m sure any1 who gets used to this keypad will love it..this is by far d best thing SE has made..it all started with the M600i then the P1i n now Paris..
with d navigation system, Paris will conquer many hearts..
SE screens are way better than the nokia 16M color screens, so they dont need to use 16M colors for their screens..
also SE phones have better cam quality..
m just waiting for Paris to come to the shelf..

keypad is good for small fingered individuals.
keypad is not good for big fingered individuals.
for previous M600 and P1i users, the keypad is good. You should get used to it. for sure the pricetag of P1i will fall if this new Slider smartphone comes out to the market. I wonder which is more faster and better? P5 or Xperia X1?

Hmmm. Interesantno kako SE kasni za Nokiom, tek su sada izdali telefon sa displejom od 16m boja i tastatura kao da je sa M600. Uzas. Sve su gori i gori. Nokia rulez !!!!!

I used P900, P910 and currently using M600, which has the exact same keyboard as this P5. I must say that the keyboard is Very Good, you really have to use one to know. You can type very fast, as you would with the other qwery keyboard.

The look and the specs, though, seem a bit weak for a flagship phone and for what I was hoping for. The HTC Touch Diamond and Phillip X-Connect look way better and more promising...I'm really a SE fan, but this is quite disappointing

I have used P1 & M600 and i found the butterfly keypad is very comfortable for me.
And I'm very happy to see that rumored P5 (should be P200) is equipped with butterfly keypad.

For the processor it really 520mhz but run on 208mhz bus. People at CPS (swissmanager) had admitted the clock frequency could shown in swissmanager could be wrong.

wrong... keypad is very very good... you have to use one to know!

for me paris needs to have a stronger CPU... say 520 MHz and a VGA screen. good video recording capabilities. and good picture quality.

SE screens does not need 16M color depth. even their 262k color screens overtakes the 16M color ones from other companies... (several comparisons have been done)!

well 2 things will make this a great successor more cpu speed and a 16mil color screen and if they want it to be a super successor they should put also autofocus and at least a good LED flash stereo speakers thats it its not mirracles the P5i need a little push to be perfect if they put these specs ill buy it for 700-750$ with no regrets at all

i have waited too long for a replacement for my P990i...
my last hope is that the CPU would be at least >330 MHz
forget about the VGA screen and other things...

if not.... then this will be a failure.

but i must say that the design is PERFECT.!

Why 339MHz?
Because of Nokia N82/N95?
Nokia N82/N95:

CPU: 32bit Texas Instruments OMAP 2420
CPU Clock: 332MHz
CPU Core: ARM1136
Instruction set: ARMv6
Level 1 cache: No information
Level 2 cache: No level 2 cache

Graphical Subsystem

Display: color transflective TFT, 16777216 scales
Display Resolution: 240 x 320
Display Diagonal: 2.4" (61 millimetres)
Secondary Display: Not supported
Graphical Controller: PowerVR MBX

You see, N82 have hardware GPU, but P5 have Software GPU, hahahahahaha...

208 MHz ?!?! that is tiny compared to what the n96 and iPhone run. So shall safely assume this phone does not wish to compete with them. So much for all they hype. A bummer from SE.

Oh, I forgot.
IDC about this keypad, this keypad is not QWERTY.
You should use soft keyboard instead of this freak keypad.
This keypad is only useful for games.
I uses soft keyboard for messaging, so fast, just like when you play Collapse in high levels.☺
The SE P5i design looks 5 years old, & fakes iPhone too.
