In Europe you can buy the phone "naked" and just had a contract after, we have unlimited phone calls and 3GB data plans for 30$.

And you don't have that shitty ugly "verizon" logo on your phone, hahahah poor americans.

Another great phone from HTC that I won't buy because of carrier exclusivity. I wanted the HTC Evo 3D last year, but it was Sprint exclusive. I generally like Sprint, but their data is a joke in Phoenix. Then I wanted the quad core One X on T-Mo, but they only delivered dual core One S. One X went to AT&T, and was dual core anyway. Fail. Now I want this phone, but they partner with privacy rapists and bloatware king Verizon. Sigh...

Just sell the phone. Make it GSM. Make it easy to root. Basically, be like Google. HTC, your hardware is always the first to hit the market with the best features. Then you blow it with crappy carrier exclusives. I want to like HTC :(

People thinking on buying this, better not. After a few months/weeks there will be an HTC DROID DNA+ or XE or whatever. With the same housing but larger battery, 200mhz faster processor and whatever small sh*t they could have well put in this thing already. Believe me. Happened to me twice. Wont let it happen to me again.

@ GSMArena - how about that OneX+ review while we wait :)

and yes, 2012 will be the year that 400ppi will become "normal" for flagship handsets.

Aside from that, it's a pitty that they bring the HTCJ J Butterfly as a CDMA exclusive. So there's no possibility to buy one used ton unlock it and use it on a GSM network.

I too think that this ideea of different phones for different areas isn't the best for them. I liked very much HTC Rezound but of course it wasn't available in my country so I bought another phone from another company.

Maybe there is not enough components for whole world. Factory just started to manufacture full hd screen for phones.

They need to put strong 2000 mAh+ batteries in their phones, and removable ones. If they want success, they should make some waterproof phones as well. If I were the president of HTC, I would change things for sure.

I love HTC phones but if they release this...they have to fix up the battery issues they have and not hold back cause that is always the biggest issue on there phones...the spec look really good but it better have a battery that can back it up!
