Leaked Nokia docs reveal Windows Phone 7.8 features - read the full textCurrent Windows Phone 7 owners might have to wait until Q1 of next year to get their 7.8 update, but at least now we have some idea of what the update will bring. Microsoft officially promised a WP8-like start screen with resizable tiles, but leaked in-house training materials from Nokia give more...

An update to IE? OMG, that is probably the most anticipating part for WP7.8.

I like WP7.5(and able to deal with all those limits), except the slow browser with no other 3rd party alternative...

The funny thing is, MicroSoft said to nokia fanboys that your phones are outdated even before they get the1st major update .LOLz Android never has had such a bad situation..

People who blamed android OEMs for not giving updates ,getting fak off sign.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-11-15 14:07 from m77L - click to readYep, they support it for twice as longs giving them secondary "new" features that were on Android since Froyo and patches to prevent jailbreaking, nice support you got there!.

If you don't own an iPhone 4S, then the iOS 6 update was a bad joke on you. At least when an Android phone is updated they don't skip key update features, addressed as the stellar points of the whole keynote.
Real support for Apple devices is no longer than one or one and a hal year, just as Android flagships.

And this is a real shame for BOTH platforms, since they do it only to milk their customers more often. There's no one to defend here.

It is very difficult to tell what will be or won't be supported in the Samsung world, as well as for how long support will be forthcoming.

Caution! This is not about comparing WP7 to Android and iOS. This is only some news about an update. No WP user needs your trolls. Thanks to GsmA for the info.

Regardless of whats in the 7.8 update, the point is people like me who have bought Lumia 800 etc.. last year have to wait longer still! Ms and Nokia dont seem to give a hoot about THEIR ACTUAL LIVING BREATHING CUSTOMERS, PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY OWN THEIR PHONES AND OS'S. All they are doing is turning these existing customers away!alot of these people will not buy windows phone again! All they had to do was release the 7.8 update a week after the major windows 8 release. This is not rocket science, its looking after your core support. When contracts expire next year they will be wondering why their numbers have dropped yet again! Adios windows phone. PeterC Liverpool.

I guess that gives me the right to call all Google fans "Google Salesmen". And no, he isn't the only "MS salesman" here. Your perception of the world is very black and white. Good guys and bad guys. Google good, Apple Microsoft bad!

Although the update doesn't mean that windows phone 7 will pick up fans... no its done with that. all it means is that user of the platform can still have their phone and enjoy it for a while longer. and need i remind you that android didn't get noticed until the froyo version was realised. so please stop hating

Is it for wp 7.5devices or new nokia devices. If it is for new nokia devices then some words should be written on it's package. "Moving Backward."
