WP 7.8 update might come in a few weeks, WP7.9 in the works? - read the full textNokia can't (or more likely doesn’t want to) keep Windows Phone 7.8 info under wraps - new info coming from the "head of Nokia Asia Pacific Developer" suggests we will see the update much sooner than the previously rumored Q1 2013 timeframe. Microsoft never really announced a solid launch date...

Anyway if I use an android phone to play games, I won't be having much juice left for sms, web browsing, phone call which is the primary reason of a phone. Ha ha ha. Dead phone. Most of us need a phone to last at least the whole day.

Nokia Wp is the king. Android is good but bad battery life and hangs often. Too many malware, virus and Overrated. IOS is too simple and reception is bad. Basically if you want a balance between good apps, good reception, good battery life and stable OS than its the Nokia WP. Though apps can't beat iOS or Android but it does give you what you need.

There. Everyone getting their money's worth out of first-gen Windows Phones. They give you things your hardware can handle. Also if you could live with apps available for Windows Phone 7.5, you should know that number is just gonna increase for a couple more months or another year at least.

Who cares if the number is 7.8, 7.9 or 8?

It is smooth(have used it myself) and within the same price range of your Nokia. Thanks to Samsung not burdening the OS on this phone with useless customizations that make droids to lag.

> In reply to Zao @ 2012-11-19 20:13 from 0ZJN - click to readThat blows the debate. No one should decide which OS or phone is better for someone else. It all has to depend on the end users taste. For simplicity people will want a Windows phone. I know a lot of friends who hate Android for their limitless customization. Yet a lot others like Android for the same reason.

> In reply to LOYAL ANDROID FANBOY @ 2012-11-19 18:35 from 7qBy - click to readlol! In fact it could be if somehow implemented in a 16mb Ram feature phone. Today i played for some hours with a SGNote 2. Great device, you know. And it looks good in my hand, i'm a big boy btw, no problems with the size. My comments on it? Fast, smooth, full of thingies, endless possibilities, good display, good enough camera, impressive battery life, limitless customization, super time killer, not so good build material. But such a device asks for a lot of maintenance time in terms of daily usage. It's good for software geeks but not for working people. People like me want simple things that serve me easily. Lumia 920 is perfect in this aspect. As Nokia stressed 'a phone for a different kind of people'. And it does quite everything a high end smartphone does, browsing, gaming, media playing, office working, photos & videos, navigating, etc, flawlessly.
