This is the boat that Nokia missed. Now they are just another hardware vendor.

Now the question begs, will the old Nokia's (N8, E7, N9) be getting a port of this here... Cos I promise I'll buy one of them just to get this... And that'll also mean (if Elop is smart enough) the N9 wouldn't have been the last Meego phone... Hell this could be the solution to Nokia's woes... It looks much better than Android or iOS... Imho.

They took the live thumbs in MeeGo Hamarttan and allow you to interact with then even when minimized. This is far more deep and advanced compared with Android, MeeGo multtask has no match.

Possible OS scenario 2014:
Windows Phone: business users, consumers wanting integrated eco system across devices
iOS: App store, integrated eco system across Apple devices
Android: dominance of the market at all levels
Blackberry: Government and corporate users, consumers wanting email security and quality hardware
Jolla: multimedia niche
On the way out: Symbian, remaining Bada

If it could run android apk files seems a promise idea. From video i see a copy of windows tiles and android design UI. Seems more a copy/paste OS. Ecosystem jolla is not good. Better stay under samsung devices.

It reminds me of the 'panels' the X1 had many moons again (Sony Xperia)...
It looks like a cross-breed of Android and Winpho 8...
Sort of live tile / widget based...
It looks okay actually...
It's not anything that can't be done already on Android with a launcher and a few widgets...
Almost like Sense going crazy!
It's certainly not ground-breaking, but equally, it's another interface to consider...
I'm neither unimpressed or impressed... it is what it is...
If anything, I'd be worried about customisation restrictions... but other than that - good luck to them!!!
