Our voting system gets its long-awaited overhaul - read the full textEver since its inception, our voting system has been subjected to relentless abuse from fanboys who give unrealistic votes to their most-hated and most-loved devices and thus rendering the overall score useless. We tried various policies that attempt to put a stop to this, including bans and...

one more thing, its an offtopic, but i think the device specifications page should also include your lovely battery test results at the battery details. that would be really really useful, cause battery performance is one of the most important things with smartphones nowadays, and i always get detailed info from gsmarena before buying any phone. [always searching throuh your battery tests is quite painful (or im just clumsy) a bad battery life is a dealbreaker imo

Gsmarena, please add like and dislike buttons in the comments section. The ratings don't work. And adding like/dislike button will be bad for fanboys. Please. And improve your site. It takes much time to load.

> In reply to jtv @ 2012-11-22 17:50 from t7Xi - click to readusers' idea is always important especially on versions update for phones ( all xperia 2011 received ics and ics bug fix but nobody at gsmarena reviewd it!!) i think both should be here! or at least gsmarena team and which is very hard to them should do full reviews and update reviews on every single device (as also some devices as lg l5 doesn't have any review!)

I don't think many people use these scores. But now the stats are really funny:) http://www.gsmarena.com/stats.php3 Phones with only the starting 10 votes should not be shown there.

as a loyal gsmarena reader since 2006! I believe that in my opinion the new voting system is perfect except the restriction for all 10 scores. in my own case i was 100% satisfied with my iPhone 4s in it's own age and score i vote that 10+10+10. i think this is not a extreme case and many people would agree with me.

gsmarena team can you please inform us by posting here or by a new if you will make an editor rating ??!! it is really so much important and even better than users' ratings!

Just don't do this kind of rating anymore. Instead, give a rating of your own, based on scores all your writers and teams have given.

Thank you for your efforts, but ihope your logging in system was'nt conducted with logging in through facebook or google, iMean it would be great if you have your own commenting and voting system which we can sign in to it through our accounts on GsmArena system, iThink you understand me......
Anyhow, thanks for the great site facilities !

as others already mentioned, an editor's rating would very useful in my opinion too. also, if the editors rating is based upon more than one of your expert's vote, it would reflect the thruth better, cause the design is kinda subjective. the price rating was also mentioned, i think thats a great idea too, but i would rather call it cost/value ratio.

2 things to clarify :
if i am using this device and i am so happy with it i can't put 10 and 10 and 10??!or if i used a crappy device which is a true waste ( like some so much limited phones getting 256 mb of ram with a limited system and which cannot run pes or angry birds) ( i won't tell you the name but everybody know it but just because i am not a fanboy)
secondly go and see fanboys which started affecting the voting results! thanks dear! and a third and really good advice ; please when you review a device please please please make a rating by you on design features and performance and let also others rate it in the users ratings section( please include that in reviewed already phones also)!thanks gsmarena for listening to us! :))

What would happen if I vote all 10 for a device? Because it's possible to find a device just perfect.

That's can be true if say someone just always give as much as she/he wants to make one of all devices that she/he hates down so fastly.

I usually give the highest score for the phone that I am using because from my experience, the design, features and performance are very good. Is this expected fraudulent by GSMArena, alright, never mind, I can understand.

good idea, I wish you also consider signing in with "twitter"

on the other hand, I wish you expand your voting system with a price vote & over-all number base on the average of all votes

another thing, may be you should think of adding an editors vote which with reflect the website editors so it'll be more trustful for some users that may not trust the public voting and lean to accept the experts point-of-view

lastly, thank you for all of your efforts .. this is one of the best sites in the smart phones and tablets on the web .. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !

I believe 3 vertical bars where you see good on top, bad on bottom and have ability to set each vote in the vertical bar along the phone's picture would be superior to this kind of system
And I'd love to see current bars filled with button "vote!" (becoming inactive after I vote).

Or just the plain way: "Like!" near features of the phones, like camera, screen, dimensions, price ect, this way we'll know what people like and what people don't like.

But you took half a year to make a better system! Just reset votes and set limits to extreme votes - its SO SMART! Like, smarter than smartphones!!!
