Looking forward to hear some good news on this phone as it is 6/12/2012. I may buy this phone if the specs are better than One X+, at least on the memory.
Cheers

I'm a HTC fans since many years ago... They used to build very hq handset. I hated Samsung cos they plasticky cheap handset material...

But now Samsung drift me away with theis SGS3 and SGN2. HTC never make such great handset...

I had a lot of HTCs since 2007, starting with Tytn II. After that was Touch, HD2, Desire, Evo 3D and One X..so i'm pretty familiarized with them.
1.First of all: HTC NEVER EVER had a good stock battery. But this was a minor drawback...we could always buy a spare one, just in case. And to be honest, it wasn't that bad (ad least, the models that i've had)..it was just lacking..a little more to be good. For example..at HD2..if it had 1400 mAh not just 1250..or desire if it had 1700 not 1400..or ONE X if it had 2100 from start not just 1800. We all know the problem is that with unibody designs you simply just need a decent battery life. Same here...2020 mAh..WILL get you through the day, but no more...if you want to keep it constantly on 3g (not even talking about LTE) you won't succeed with average usage. And that's FRUSTRATING.
2. Extra space. No matter what, 11 GB it's a joke on a phone like this. Don't care about the extra SD slot, the 26 GB of my HOX are enough for me..but 11 GB..are just not enough. and what is the main phone memory not internal one? Never seen it mentioned anywhere. If it's under 3 Gb..then..bleah. And Forget about dropbox or other cloud services. To properly use them you need a constant wifi connection or unlimited data plan..and neither of this solutions are good. And this is FRUSTRATING.
3. Marketing. I can't understand why HTC has so poor marketing. The phones are...just great but with no advertising at all..they just paying the price in a wold where Samsung and Apple marketing is seen everywhere. And this is FRUSTRATING.
And here I am..so FRUSTRATED about HTC phones. They could be great..hell..they could be the best..but they are falling behind due to the idiotic way the company is building\ promoting their phones. Their motto should be "Close, so close...but not quite" not..Quietly Brilliant :))
Of course, i like very much my HOX and my EVO 3D and i don't intend to change back to Samsung again or, God forbid, Apple. And I will probably switch from HOX to HTC Deluxe+ version..that will have, for sure, extra space and battery and JB 4.2 :)). The only thing that could make me reconsider it's Note 2 with dual sim, if will be available in European version, though will be hard to let go the 3D photo/movies option of my EVO 3D...

Will this be based off the US version or the Japanese version, as it has a MicroSD card slot. Given this device only has 16GB storage, I'd really like to have a memory card option as well.

this phone could win me over if it had a 5.5inch display and a good enough battery as the current note 2 i got...but still looks like a magnificent phone :)
