It's obviously a hideous policy Motorola need to shake free of if they wish to expand their market share.
Neither does this policy help those of us who'd like this phone on a contract but don't live in the US.

Motorola's flagship is Razr HD/Razr i, and both got Jelly Bean (or will get this week). Since Atrix HD, they are updating their new phones fast. Razr XT910 will get Jelly Bean so what's the problem. Wait a little bit.

Don't you remember the first droid maxx, its not available anywhere even now other than Verizon.

When on earth is the Droid RAZR Maxx HD coming to the UK?

And I'm still waiting for JB for my XT910.
Maybe it'd be smarter to ommit 4.1, and go straight to 4.2.1
Or maybe, just maybe, unlock bootloader? It'd be nice to have ex. CM10 fully working on my RAZR...
