It's actually the screen size I find most annoying. Flagship models are so big. Now the best phone with one handed operation is an iPhone! I have a kid and sometimes holding my htc is a nightmare especially text messaging. I am not a big fan of touch wiz hence getting the htc. The deal was amazing though £15.50 on O2 back in may!! 2 months after release and I use a 3 s/o at £6 pm

They are both still phones basically. Say yeah, it's fare to compare the note 2 to the iphone 5. Noting illogical about it at all, except when the phablet is definitely the better phone.

it comes down to 2 things price and specs. iPhone have never been the most affordable device to own. I believe every time it came out with a new model it was one of the most expensive cellphone on the market(unlocked phone). Some people just don't wanna pay 5-700 dollars for a freaking phone. The second thing is the specs, when iPhone finally got released it was kinda a disappointment to people waiting for the next big thing. With the slogan "the best thing to happen to iPhone since iPhone" kinda meant nothing really changed in the phone. Yes the phone is slimmer, and longer?? But all the amazing new features kinda stop there. One can name off all the "special features" but even with that the phone still falls short. Most consumers wont pay $$$ big bucks to a phone that is barely above the previous model.

NOT just cheaper in price. BETTER VALUE.. ie 5-700+ for an overpriced Iwhatever... I bought my Pantech Burst for 160. SAME job. HUNDREDS in my pocket... Or wherever I WANT to spend it....
SMART, I'd say..

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-12-04 17:16 from dSKn - click to readSure its smooth, but its not fast in the UI. My Note II never lags and is super smooth and MUCH faster than iphone in the UI, you can flip screens around at amazing speeds.

No wonder iphone appears smooth at those lame speeds things are moving. Its easy to hide lag that way. Like WP8, it will animate the tile for you first, like to get itself into gear, thats another way of hiding it. But the Note 2 has no way of hiding it, still it never lags. Superiority, the the Samsung F15 against your Apple Cessna.

> In reply to neelpatel @ 2012-12-04 16:15 from veF5 - click to readLol I own an iPhone 5 and there's absolutely no lag.

The long screen as you put it was done for aesthetic reasons.

What's the first thing people see on the SGS3?

The SGS 5 will have 16 cores and a 6 inch screen and be powered by a car battery. But no worries, android 6 will stop the lag :))

Iphone5 has less pixels, each pixel is less informative because of higher ppi, so iphone screen is less informative than other android flagships. If you want to defense iphone5, you should say that it fit one hand, dont say that it has higher ppi. It 'might' be beautiful, but it s definitely less informative.
