Nokia sells its HQ in Finland, to stay there on a lease - read the full textNokia's financials aren't what you'd call great lately, and as a result the company is selling its headquarters building in Espoo, Finland for 170 million. The deal is expected to be finalized by the end of the year, but the company has no plans to move out afterwards. Instead it will lease...

In the US Nokia sells their Lumia 920 for $449, it's actually $399 now WITHOUT CONTRACT, YET while it's so cheap they still can't get rid of inventory. While the Samsung Galaxy S retails for $599-699 depending on store, the iphone 5 retails for $649-799 depending on storage yet both seem to run out and sell a lot more. Care to explain this? Both are older devices than the Lumia 920. Again how is Nokia Mozart? Mozart makes beautiful pieces. Nokia has one design. They're the new Motorola. Motorola RAZR anyone? LOL.

The R Kelly comparison is purely subjective and while you may see them this way I see them more like Leonard Cohen who's pleased in letting kiki mimaj or titer take care of your teenagers(and speaking of teenagers I bet many don't dream at kias or hyundays)

> In reply to James Hunt @ 2012-12-06 06:10 from 7wB5 - click to readLOL, again. 14 years of dominance because there was no competition. You can tout "glory days" or "glory futures" all you want but that wont' be happening. Shows how weak nokia is, they balk and buckle under any sign of pressure. LOL lets compare then shall we? Nokia in it's "glory days". Funny how you accuse me of "coming up with explanations", yet that seems to be what you're doing constantly. "Wait until next quarter", "wait until the Lumia 1020", "wait until windows phone 8.5". Haven't you heard that even analyst are changing their predictions of Windows tablets. Nokia is basically giving away their Lumia devices, including free wireless changing plates, yet sales are so piss poor. I'm not a hater, I own the 920. I like the device but the OS ruins my experience with it.

U would come up with a lot more hate explainations. And comparing previous yrs sales with that of today is wrong. Those days smartphones sales were less as compared. Btw people would still like the N95 anyways.Nokia is the mozart of smartphne world and no Justin bieber or Psy can match it.

> In reply to David Huaman @ 2012-12-05 02:23 from LyG0 - click to readYes, your suggestion is a good way out for Nokia to survive and rise again to the TOP, even if Nokia doesn't want to use Droid.

Nokia cannot depend solely on WP8 and must give it's costumers several choices (no other way): WP8, Nokia OS formerly Symbian, Sailfish, & other OSes that Nokia wants, and people will still buy Nokia's products. That way Nokia will survive. This is a simple remedy for Nokia. Just immediately renew the Management and excecute the plan B. Never too late.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-12-05 10:52 from mjPY - click to readThat's funny, because Galaxy S III and Iphone 5 has been ranked highest in customer satisfaction and quality. Just because Nokia is the oldest, mozart it makes them not. If anything they're just R Kelly, an old washed out singer with one of two hits under his belt trying to hang with the younger generation.

Well they were warned, and warned again.... but yet they still went through with the deal with MS...

I gave them 5 years of survival 2 years ago, I really hope they last 3 more years!

Nokia if you're reading this....

Go back look at the N7 and esp the N700 designs, stick a linux based distro and gain 25% growth in only 12 months!

If that means supporting android, do it! if you don't you're going to be back to a corner street where you probably began.

Get a linux based OS, if Intel have the guts to do it, team up with them, reclaim the market and and then sell WP's as inferior seconds.
