in my workplace we have equipments that are anodized. tell you what, these anodized coatings peel off. once peeled off like ur iphone5 scratched out of the box, the become conductive.

i don't urge to believe me. you can try an eperiment urself on the power outlet with ur iphone5. then we'll see.....

This is the Reason for not investing into Samsung phones previously was the Cost of Replacing the Samsung Lcds screen was the most cost worthy,an stayed Loyal to Nokia until Mr Elop announce Symbian is Dead,an switched back to Samsung with the Superb Duo the Samsung Galaxy S2 an S3,but i always make sure i Kept these phones from getting any damage to the Lcds Screens an these are Very Expensive to Change or Repair

The unbreakable plastic sounds good but it will be a scratches nightmare. Anyone who wears glasses should know this one. Hope that Samsung comes up with a solution to resist scratches at least as much as glass.

sure, plastic will be tougher, but will it be scratch proof like gorilla glass 2?

> In reply to gilbs72 @ 2012-12-06 17:37 from t7WF - click to readactually, the both of you are wrong. firstly, apple's phone is anodized... and if you dont know what anodizing is, anodizing is applying aluminim oxide to the surface of the aluminim...
by doing that, apple has virtually eliminated thermal expansion of the casing AS WELL as the conductivity.

... looks like apple engineers ARE smart enough ;)
(btw.. im not an apple fan, and i dont own any apple products, but i dont judge a book by its cover either)

sad dude. very sad. and there isn't even any warning on the box of that phone that the casing is an electrical hazard and could cause electrocution..... and people doesn't care... they let their kids use that phone as if there are no risks......

Go to youtube n watch nokia lumia 920 drop test madr by phonebuff. Its takes 10 step to break the phone. That was amazing. Samsung s3 only 2 step in any drop test. Samsung want to vs nokia. That is a joke. Samsung hardware will never beat nokia harfware. N that is the fact.

So we're reaching 5 inch displays now are we? Nice to look at but impractical for some. 4.3 to 4.5 was a sweet spot in my opinion. Modern screens already look gorgeous. Did anyone see the 8k screen from Japan?

> In reply to half_21 @ 2012-12-06 17:05 from UD}w - click to readdude samsung uses amoled panels, not lcd panels thats y they r less bright, more in contrast compared to one x... one x is pure RGB LCD while S3 was pentile amoled, poorest screen but note 2 was RGB amoled, better screen, but not better than one x... it z about customer's preference... i like amoled displays but it sucks more battery coz u have to keep its brightness level high whereas LCD looks perfect even in 0% brightness...

> In reply to moki @ 2012-12-06 17:28 from Xuj1 - click to readthere's millions of grades of plastic.. "plastic" just means its composed of a polymer.. so you can't say its good or bad until you know what kind of material it is. just to let you know, plastics are used on planes these days.. if plastic can hold up a 500 tonne airplane, im sure it'll do fine for a samsung phone.

this is as about as interesting and innovative as samsung's phones get...just increase speed or porcessor, throw in more ram, and increase the screen size. its not even exciting anymore.. i donno what GSM-A is getting so happy for.. what, they expect the SG4 to have the same screen as SG3? OBVIOUSLY its gonna get a 1080p screen... wats so exciting about that? its expected!
