I am not getting the Face Unlock option in the V30b ICS upgrade.

Anyone who has upgraded and getting the face unlock option?

Its better dont update to ICS..will regret later....

i updated the same by paying Rs 169... the phone is consuming more than 80% battery on running android operating system and does not last even 6 hours.

android 4.0.4 is just tooo good,,, very fluidic.... phone got his power with ics

I have updated my P990 to ICS today. The version is V30b.
But I dont see option for face unlock anywhere in the settings.

Anyone knows whether LG has provided Face unlock with the ICS release?

I tried updating to ics today via the lg support tool and it said i need to contact customer care
the customer care says i need to visit a service center and will be charged for it...bla bla bla
the online update should take another 5 to 6 days to get functional

WTF ...TOTALLY PISSED ...

I've found on a forum a link to an website which tells you which is the latest firmware update for your lg P990, based on your IMEI code. Adress is this: http://tools.enetsite.com/linker/

I wrote my IMEI code in this site and as result it sais that the latest firmware update for my v20s firmware is the v20E_00 firmware. LG Mobile Suport tool or with PC Suite IV said that i have the latest firmware. So, who knows about the credibility of that site? It is posible to be real?

If the ICS update is available in your country AND your phone is carrier unlocked:

1. On Windows, uninstall all LG-related software and drivers, then reboot

2. Download and install the latest version of LG PC SUITE

3. Remove microSD, connect via USB, the P990 is detected automatically, then just click update to ICS (30min update)

Had called up the LG customer care where I was told that the ICS update is available and that I will have to go to their service centre for the same.

guys,,, I m not able to upate,, when I start updating it asks serial no. and imei no. of my cell,, when I enter it,, after that it shows that update can no longer be processed due to a FATA ERROR.... what does it means,,,, and how to overcome from it....

I tried to update my lg p990 with the update tool but it keeps flashing the message "Contact customer care to know the software version" and does not let me update. The customer care said that the update is not yet available for my model.

Is there a way to update the phone other than the using the update tool.

For me, the update... still not available! I am from Romania and i have v20s firmware. I heard that other people from my country had updated their devices yet. Maybe they had another firmware... My phone is not locked to any carrier... Is anybody which posed the v20s firmware and get the update? Thanks!

Before you start the tool you internet connection has to be on otherwise the tool will not show the latest updates available. Select Country as India from OPTION and HELP. Go to "Customer Support" Click on Supporting Model.
