Before you start the tool you internet connection has to be on otherwise the tool will not show the latest updates available. Select Country as India from OPTION and HELP. Go to "Customer Support" Click on Supporting Model. Here you will find the list of Models supported.Scroll down to LGP990 you will find the version V30b.Install the driver and connect the phone.Follow instructions. if you need any support email me to syngwind@sify.com

yessssssss finally i updated my p990 ics 4.0.4 using lg mobile support tool....UI is amazing...but the touch led brightness is constant...m nt able 2 adjust it previously in ginger bread i got access 2 hidden menu with the code 1809#*990#...i got d new code its 3845#*990# but m nt able 2 adjust d touch led brightness...plzzz help me out...

how to update my optimus 2x p990....?
when I connect it to my computer and check for updates in pc suit IV it says there is no new update for the phone...
plz help...

Contacts and installed apps will be formatted or not .....while updating to ics.

other wise to to the customer service and they will update the same by charging Rs 169...I did the same

Is this some kind of joke? I tried updating the phone using LG support tool (version 1.6.1.1) but I keep getting the prompt to contact the customer care. Yes, I selected the country as India!!

Updated to ICS 4.0.4 using the V30B.kdz file yesterday.. But the main camera not working. However the front camera is working fine.
Can anyone suggest a solution for the same...

I tried to update my lg p990 with the update tool but it keeps flashing the message "Contact customer care to know the software version" and does not let me update. The customer care said that the update is not yet available for my model.

Is there a way to update the phone other than the using the update tool.
