Downloaded it few minutes ago. Google is really kind to give us this maps app. Thank you Google!
Anyways, TheVerge's first look video of google maps says that this iPhone version is most awesome version, it's even better than s3, which made me happy! :P

Wtf free? they should charge £5 for it and make money. It's one of the best mapping software out there, and all profit should go towards android development

I just don't like the restrictive policies and iTunes, cant stand apple trying to win through the courts not by innovation AND now realise that companies make lot better phones i,e, the Galaxy Note 2.

Free? Why isn't Google so smart to tax them with at least 20 bucks. Almost everything from Crapple is with fees. Users should deserve this kind of punishment.

Australian police advised earlier this week that people shouldn't use iOS maps because it was dangerous.
Judging by the plunging apple share prices (-23% in 3 months), investors don't have much more faith in apple either.

After all that time of Google refusing to put turn by turn navigation on iOS, all it took was Apple to kick them off to make them offer a comparable service. Google = the new (old) Microsoft.
