Market share is not the best way to decide who wins. Look at the apples other interests. They have less than 10% market share, yet they are one of the most successful computer manufacturers (I know it's built in china and stuff but you know what I mean) in terms of profits. Google is an advertising company so for them marketshare is key. For apple profit rules

> In reply to Ramu @ 2012-12-14 15:41 from ttvw - click to readIOS is not bottom in many countries at all. It might not be top however it is usually in second place that is in EU Countries.

Please please for the love of humanity think about what you are saying before typing. Its so frustrating reading comments that are baseless or just pure fanboyism.

It is not matter who earns more money or who has that market share but who has given us more heartly more things.Apple wants to earn money but actually it is losing money and market share while Android is responsible and commited to all customers from low to high class and going up rappidly. From many countries apple has been pushed out down to bottom.Nowadays people are aware of price ,specification and quality not only bbrands

Nicely worded, However your missing the figures. In point of fact in total Apple generate more profits than Android. http://www.statista.com/topics...-in-context/

However Android is winning the fight in amount of actual units sold and activated. Which is what the article is about not NET PROFITS.

The things is if Apple wins only Apple wins.

If Android wins not only Google wins Samsung, Sony, HTC, Moto, Lenovo, LG etc etc wins.

Now that is more of a win win situation. Every amall company has a chance to win with Android.
