High price is to cover all the losses on the way to the stores (theft etc.).

> In reply to PhON @ 2012-12-13 19:05 from mn0N - click to readWell, for starters, the V is LTE enabled, Acro S is not. Secondly, the Xperia V is a true Sony phone (Acro S was manufactured by Sony Ericsson and later rebranded by Sony where the V was designed by SONY only). No more Ericsson green globe logo on the V. True Sony phone.

This is expensive because it's one of Sony's "own" phones together with the lower end Xperia J - which of course is much cheaper.

€623 ??? Are they out of mind? Need to drop price at least to €499. Xperia V is a great phone and it would be very sad to see it not demanded by consumers due to extremely high price. Sony needs to rethink its pricing strategy in order not to kill good products at very beginning...

Too bad it's not compatible with AT&T's 3g network. If it were, it'd be on my short list...

it is a very good device with very very good build quality , friendly os and ui good features and some sony touches, lens on sensor features which is even better than the touch of the lumia 920 and 13 mp camera with exmor r2 sensor for low light which has proven its awesomeness and the stabilization is also amazing with sony with bravia engine 2 hd screen and a premium body +walkman things and its price will drop soonly!

Can't find any significant difference compared to Acro S, that can justify 250€ price difference.

Sony wants to have consumer attention with this kind of price? Fool! Nobody wants to buy this, I'd better go with Note 2, or wait for HTC Butterfly

The high price means low sales in short terms, but they're working on their image in long long terms. That's it. The phone itself is really good, I'll wait a couple of months for some price drop. Official or grey makes no difference.
