High price is to cover all the losses on the way to the stores (theft etc.).
PhON, 13 Dec 2012Can't find any significant difference compared to Acro S, that can justify 250€ price difference.Well, for starters, the V is LTE enabled, Acro S is not. Secondly, the Xperia V is a true Sony phone (Acro S was manufactured by Sony Ericsson and later rebranded by Sony where the V was designed by SONY only). No more Ericsson green globe logo on the V. True Sony phone.
This is expensive because it's one of Sony's "own" phones together with the lower end Xperia J - which of course is much cheaper.
Maybe they want to appear in Guiness as the world expensive 4.3 inches phone
€623 ??? Are they out of mind? Need to drop price at least to €499. Xperia V is a great phone and it would be very sad to see it not demanded by consumers due to extremely high price. Sony needs to rethink its pricing strategy in order not to kill good products at very beginning...
Serenity Now, 13 Dec 2012Too bad it's not compatible with AT&T's 3g network. If it were, it'd be on my short list...My friend,it is 100% compatible with AT&T 3G!
costs around $815/€623/£505?
I say it's way too expensive...
Hopefully it doesn't cost arm & leg for asian market

every body switching from iphones to android are switching to sony and that is why sony is growing a lot in developing countries because of their good ui and simplicity and good valuable speedy well built elegant unique products!far more valuable than iphone 5 and even cheaper! durable , elegant , speedy , capable and all in one!
it is a very good device with very very good build quality , friendly os and ui good features and some sony touches, lens on sensor features which is even better than the touch of the lumia 920 and 13 mp camera with exmor r2 sensor for low light which has proven its awesomeness and the stabilization is also amazing with sony with bravia engine 2 hd screen and a premium body +walkman things and its price will drop soonly!

Sony wants to have consumer attention with this kind of price? Fool! Nobody wants to buy this, I'd better go with Note 2, or wait for HTC Butterfly
The high price means low sales in short terms, but they're working on their image in long long terms. That's it. The phone itself is really good, I'll wait a couple of months for some price drop. Official or grey makes no difference.
Phonenab, 13 Dec 2012I just don't get it why sony phones offer what other higher technology phones offer at the sam... moreWell you see. This is a high end phone just like the others with the feature of being waterproof and LTE in addition.
I suppose those are normal prices. check this and you'll see the Xperia T and TX are about the same price. http://www.svyaznoy.ru/catalog...ny?PAGEN_1=2
