Both types of S Pen work on both units' screens. I can still use the spare S Pen with the exterior casing holder when I get my Note II next week.

> In reply to TheNeighbor @ 2012-12-29 13:01 from t7NH - click to readUltimate is quite good already but some experience bootloops (I have) and RAM shortage (me again).. you could try slimbean (which has the best battery - just read the reviews, not my own experience and smoothness).. for now, I am sticking to Union ROM because it is a TW ROM, because of the 240DPI and lastly because of the super streamlined apps (no bloatware whatsoever - not even a calculator!) you install what you like and the phone is super fast..

but hey, you are getting a note 2! congrats in advance!

> In reply to Jay @ 2012-12-28 16:45 from 7X1V - click to readI had spent the entire morning configuring everything on my Note with the new "Ultimate" 4.1.2 v5.1. Quite the wonder, and I expected the lag and shortage of RAM.

I'll be getting the Note II in over a week. Just some added awesome features for my 13-month old device which my wife will be getting. She just wants to play games with the old Note, and so the new one goes to me for all the powerful features I need for wireless projected presentations.

> In reply to dmakun @ 2012-12-28 02:16 from N9@T - click to readCurrently no, or there is no hardware that will detect that the S Pen is detached in the Galaxy Note, unlike in the Note II which even has a spring. So I'm probably guessing that leaving the S Pen won't set any alarm.
