Amazon cuts prices on 8X and Lumia 920 even further - read the full textAmazon has gotten pretty aggressive with the price cuts for Windows Phone 8 handsets. About a month ago, they cut the price of two WP8 flagships, the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X, and now they've cut them again. The Nokia Lumia 920 is now $40 with a two-year contract from AT&T (used...

Most the bloat ware is removed. And using overclocking
apps with modded kernels you can lower the voltages and clock speeds. Not just over clock.

I run my HOX+ at 1GHz max and under volt now.
Have had it in power mode at 1.92GHz mostly stable
as well that proves it doesn't lag or stutter at all

It's easy and fun. As soon as you log into google again you re-down load your apps.

I only do it once a month. Feels like a new phone all the time.Maybe some ppl once a week

I'm getting the HTC droid DNA soon and custom ROMs are very good.

But HTC will be getting the Terga 4 supercomputer chip. One chip that WP could never handle the processing it will have with 72 GPU cores.

Even if you put a custom rom at a android device it will still choke the system.. Thats Why Mr.Droided wants a 8cored power-sucking phone with a minimum of 2gb of ram to run it smoothly. Oh, BTW that would only available for people who wants to brag about their phone...lol....too bad, even a Lumia620 out-run a droid flagship..lol.. XD

ZTE will have 8core and 2GB phone then.
Then you'll see that single core WP can't match
this power.

Smoked by Android! that's 8cores of power
That's in March next year.

End of next should see 4GB ram and maybe 10 core

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-12-29 05:31 from kg3U - click to readYou should be using a custom rom.
Then you can judge if it's laggy.
Otherwise its unfair really.
And Android 5.1 will be out early next year then
and prove its not laggy anymore

> In reply to Pedro0x @ 2012-12-28 20:47 from p8t2 - click to readI have Lumia 920, iPhone 4S, Nexus 4, and many Android phones in the past. Nexus 4 is not as smooth as iPhone 4S nor Lumia 920. It's as buggy as any Android phone. Still has occasional lag and sometimes laggy scrolling. Proof that I have a Nexus 4.

> In reply to Droided @ 2012-12-29 03:35 from uBSg - click to readWhy should use Custom ROM? Didn't the official is perfect? Why reset every month? Why restart phone every week? Why always use fast reboot or task killer every minute? Tell me. These are the ways to make Android smoother and faster.. Right na?? Lol. WP is smooth out of the box. Android had upper hands in terms of customization and multitasking. But when it comes to reliability, stability, smoothness, WP way ahead.

> In reply to Jeanandroidfan @ 2012-12-28 17:20 from MDVw - click to readAgain u failed. That's a comparison of HTC 8S and Samsung S3 mini. Not WP8 vs Android. Also the S3 mini has more RAM.. RAM plays a vital role. Similary if I compare Lumia 620 with S3, then 620 is faster in browsing according to the benchmarks of gsmarena. And u know the price of S3 and Lumia 620. Lol. It's all about optimizations. Also Nokia is my final choice , when it is comes to WP. Not the HTCrap.

Android isn't laggy then.

Any talk of lag in Android are just lies from jealous WP users.

Don't fear, enjoy and hold tight ur s3, sleepwell. U don't control things on how mobiles sell!!!
