5'' for a phone? No, thanks.

Samsung seems abandons S, M and L size devices for Apple.

Screens are getting larger because technology today allows manufacturers to make the phones thinner. The total "grip" size (width x thickness) is similar to early cellular phones (e.g. Nokia 2110, Communicator, etc.). We spend longer times staring at screens today because we are able to do more things with more powerful hardware. Small screens will eventually strain our eyes. Also, we need change our perspective of "phones". People today spend more time doing PC stuff (social networking, email, photos, videos, etc.) instead of just call/text - they're really pocket PCs more than phones. Samsung's latest TouchWiz UI can even display multiple tasks at the same time - maximizing the larger screens.

it is not a rumour for me, cause the fujitsu arrows A has a 16.3 mpx camera, and other better specs than the galaxy

Looking forward to it. With other competitors releasing 5" 1080p devices Samsung needs to differentiate itself to get the big sales. The great thing about an S-pen is that if you don't like it you don't have to use it as it neatly tucks away. What I find amazing is that after the success of the note series why other manufacturers have largely ignored this segment of the market. Sammy should also consider a 4.5 to 5" that includes a physical keyboard along with an S-pen, that would be a real work horse.

Then they would probably put in that graphic stylus they patented this year. You didn't complain about the 7.9" iPad mini. Yes, everyone suddenly forgot how Jobs said it was useless to do anything with it.

The thing is, Apple seems to be at a lost at what SJ would & would have not done. The magic is now coming out with these innovations Samsung and Android have been producing. Apple is now the one tagging along .

Samsung its not only making high specified hardware, the software content that go with them have great and innovative features, like the Note series with the S Pen. I would not call the premium smartphones of Samsung sub-standard. Their choice of durable lightweight flexible plastic exterior and Corning Gorilla glass are sensible than soft aluminum that disrupts & ground phone signals.

Whatever you're using, competition & raising up innovation benefits it's users. You can always choose a lower speced quality smartphone.

I don't know why every galaxy become bigger. They are stupid. I hope they will have lose with this. Inovation should be if they put 5inch display into phone civilization size like galaxy S2. This is something good.

> In reply to Kenswiss @ 2012-12-29 15:05 from fu$W - click to readI hope for your sake that you are joking, if more power and more features that make your life easyer and better is not innovation, what is? What would you like to see in a phone? Wheels on it so it can move by itself and come to you when someone is calling you? Is there a problem if a phone has lots of stuff? You act like you lose something, lol people should be glad that there are some companies that strugle to give you all they can give, how can you be mad because samsung is trying to make a phone with everything a phone can have, what is innovation if not more power, cpu, ram, memory better screen and plenty of features that make your phone look nice and easyer to use? You must be a apple fan, no offense, but iphone 5 is pure innovation, there are all these big diferences from iphone 4s.

Oh and of course we want more, i'm not retarded, why would i want to pay for something that has the same thing my phone curently has. LOL you must be a genius, clearly you are a apple fan to complain about users wanting more, at least we got used to wanting more better, you got used to get same stuff and pay more and more for nothing. Brilliant i say, why not give everything in a phone if it is doable?
