samsung doesn't care, they are busy trying to meet supply needs for their own devices. and apple is a greedy whore, they want everything for free. tsmc will go bankrupt being raped by apple.

> In reply to carlo @ 2013-01-03 08:31 from 9x16 - click to readthere is nothing to be concerned of on this matter. All i see is a great relief for samsung where-in it is not anymore bound to some contracts with apple. and for that reason samsung can iniate a full assault to apple. Some words of advise "Apple please watch your back"

> In reply to dolly @ 2013-01-02 16:57 from ibjj - click to readi am afraid there are people who are ignorant about taiwan. it is very different from china. some factories like canon have their plant there. and quality is different from china. i would prefer products made in taiwan than in the US. besides, apple already had previous iphone models made in china, won't hurt to go bring their business to taiwan. tsmc is doing apple a favor. tsmc should be worried about apple though.

Didn't TSMC tell Apple a few months ago to take their money elsewhere when Apple proposed TSMC shift volume production in their favor, away from AMD and nVidia? Why are they courting Apple now?

with samsung making chips and other components in the states now, samsung is 10x more american than apple.
in any case apple is a buyeer who wants to pay next to nothing.

The most pertinent lesson from the whole saga is that Apple is a fiercely litigious company that wouldn't hesitate to 'go thermonuclear' on even their own suppliers.

Those who conduct business with Apple are ill-advised, and do so at their own peril.

TSMC, i don't think they could meet Apples requirements, they can barely keep up with AMD's and Nvidias demands let alone another competitor.

as if samsung cares about the plans of apple. Samsung semiconductor and display will be very busy supplying all galaxy S series, galaxy note and galaxy tabs. So long apple and take care!

Apple switch its chips manufacturer to TSMC, then Samsung buy and owned most of TSMC public shares. Win-win solution for me. It's all business so stop this fanboy crap.
